We're still considering what to do this year. Professional or TurboTax? Hmm... what do you do?

I do ours with Turbotax, but ours are really simple. If they were more complicated I'd pay someone to do them.

In the past I have just done them with turbo tax since my finances were not very complicated. This year I think I will use a free community tax service, since last year things were a little more complicated (got married, etc). Plus it is free! You may want to check in your community if anything similar is offered.

An accountant. There are just too many filings/complications for us to do them--correctly!--ourselves.

We have a family friend do them, for pretty cheap I think.

We've used TurboTax for the past 5 years. No complaints, but our taxes are relatively simple.

We have an accountant who does them only because they're not that simple. We use to do them ourselves though.

We do them using turbo tax. I have been doing them this way since I was 18. Once DH items his own business (in a year or so) we will have an accountant do them. She did ours last year when we got married and DH had a 1099.

When I was just doing my taxes, I did them myself. Now that I'm married and we own our own business with investment property, I pay a CPA to do them. It gets overwhelming!

DH did ours with TurboTax, but we don't own any property so they're very simple!

We have an accountant do them-- wayyyy too much going on for us to do them ourselves!

We use the h&r block software, and share it with all of dh's family, so it's way cheap and really easy!

Pay. With all the farm stuff, it's confusing enough getting stuff together for the tax appointment, never mind doing them ourselves. But if we just had a couple of simple W2s, we'd totally do them on our own.

We did our own with TaxAct. We actually did the free file with HR Block, but before we committed to it, switched over to TaxAct and compared the refunds (and charges for the states). it was about the same, but we had to deal with 2 states, and TaxAct was cheaper for that.

Our accountant does them. They're too complicated for me to understand.

In the past I did them by hand and then took them in to like H&R block so I could get my refund sooner..... did them by hand first b/c they've been done wrong before. =/
Now I just do them online.

We used TurboTax and did them ourselves for a couple years. We bought a house in 2011, so we paid an accountant last year, and since we had LO in 2012, we're paying someone this year, too.

My husband is very, very good with money, but it's definitely worth it to have an accountant do taxes.

I pay an accountant... someone would have to pay ME a lot to do my own taxes. My head starts spinning even looking at any of the forms. I my accountant... even though she charges an arm and a leg
Ours our complicated though.

I do my own now, but if you have anything at all complicated it's totally worth it to pay an accountant (NOT an HR block type) to do it.

We pay an accountant to do it. We have a rental property and a trust for my friend's little girl who lost her dad in Iraq, so it's pretty confusing for us to try to do it ourselves.

@FarmWifeGina: same here! Farming and owning a business makes it too difficult to do them ourselves.
Before getting married, I used turbotax with no problems.

Before DD we used HR block online. I liked that if I did something wrong I can walk over to them and they can fix it for me.
Not sure if we're going to do it on our own this year. We just had LO.
