I feel like I am constantly sweeping and cleaning the floors, especially in our kitchen. Tonight I said I was just gonna give up and let the dirt pile up. Oh, how great it would be to have a housekeeper!

yes me!!!! We are still in the moving in process- moved on Saturday! I am sick of boxes and dust and dirt!! 2 dogs, 2 adults and moving are not getting along with my cleaning! My husband literally took the cleaning bottle and paper towels out of my hands today! It is driving me crazy the house is not organized so I think I am trying to clean what I can to compensate!

Ugh, yes. I hate cleaning, and it feels like no matter how often I clean it never stays clean for more than a few minutes!

Yes! It's especially annoying when I spend time and effort doing something and DH comes along and does something irritating, like dirty socks on the table. Wtf?!

@sera_87 - no way...dirty socks on the table??? gross!!
I get teased a lot by family because DH is a clean freak, but only really about dishes. The bathroom is disgusting and I don't think he's mopped the floor once.

I'm a clean freak, but with a newborn I've had to just chill out. I printed a cleaning schedule so maybe my husband will see it and take a hint (messes are invisible to him) or I can choose one or two items off of it each day to feel a little more sane.

Two dogs, a toddler, husband and I'm a ft WOHM...our house is never up to snuff!

@sera_87: Woah!! That's horrendous!! My DH leaves his dirty socks on the sofa, which annoys me, but the table?!! He does fling his coat across the table every day when he gets in - and I hang it up (the cupboard is right there) daily.
@BeachMama: Yes, I often feel like this. No sooner than you have got it looking nice, someone (DH) decides to make a sandwich and then there are crumbs all over the worktops.... or he opens his mail and leaves it strewn around the room. AGH!

@sera_87: I'm on summer vacation and its like my husband has forgotten how to do everything! It's so annoying!

I can't stand clutter piling up, but actually cleaning I'm more lax about (plus, dh is more likely to clean than organize and put things away). Especially because we live in an old apartment--no matter how much we clean, it's always going to look dirty because it's just old and funky! the grime is like built in! so yeah, that I could give up on.

Yes. I find it so so frustrating...I don't mind cleaning but I hate doing it constantly!

@Mrs. Jacks: four times in a day?! I usually only sweep four times a month (ok maybe a bit more) !

@T.H.O.U.: you haven't met M then! She's a walking tornado. No joke, it's necessary to sweep after every meal with her.

yes! but DH hates a messy house, so he usually cleans up, even when it seems pointless!

I have pretty much given in- we have a cleaning lady come every two weeks. My husband leaves his dirty socks every.where. And they day before the cleaning lady comes he has at least one pair of shoes in every room of the house, including the bathroom.

Yep...2 dogs, 2 cats, DH and DS...makes a never ending mess. It's all I do. I only get it clean about an hour before DH comes home from work and then it starts all over again, until after dinner!
