I tried to sell/give to a friend/donate a stroller for 2 years with no luck.
I left it next to my garage can (not garbage day) this morning and it was gone in 5 minutes. I hope it went to a good home! 
Do you ever leave stuff out by the trash for people to pick up? Or do you ever pick up other people's junk? I have a few times...chairs and coffee table for my old apartment!

We have left things out several times and it always gets scooped up the same day! I have eyed a few things myself but never stopped.

They call it Junk Day around here. Everybody sets out their stuff and then the junkers come through and pick through it. My friend saved an awesome stereo cabinet that way.
Also, this floored me, but my boss had a friend come to her house and said friend left her suitcase by the mailbox. A suitcase full of name brand, designer clothes with the tags still on them, and then wondered why someone took her suitcase in [RITZY NEIGHBORHOOD]. I thought it was a given that setting something by the curb was the universal code for "free to good home." but she could not believe it.

We live on a pretty busy street and we've done this quite a bit! Formica counter tops, sinks, fireplace insert, old doors, tube tv's... Basically anything we don't want to make a special trip to the dump for. It works every time!

We do, the night before trash day. People either take it home for good use, or scrap metal trucks drive by and salvage it.

No, we usually just take it to goodwill so we can get a receipt. There is a drive thru one nearby that makes it so easy to donate!

It always shocks me the crap people take from the sidewalk - we had a broken chiminea that we left out for bulk trash pickup - someone took it. Its not even usable!

When I lived in NYC, I did it AAAALLLL the time. Where I live now it is illegal.

Yep! I've even left out bags of clothes. I hate throwing stuff away that people might be able to use.
