Not yet, but I've started only 100. If I started one that got heated I would feel bad about it.

@mrbee: hahaha aww Mr. Bee I'm so sorry the artificial thread upset you... I hope it wasn't anything I said, but if it was I genuinely am sorry. I definitely try to always think about what I say before writing it. It's easy to misinterpret written words.

So far, I have only regretted starting a topic if it dies immediately. Then I just feel like I made such a stupid thread that no one was interested in commenting or they couldn't relate to me, which only proves how ridiculous and unusual my thoughts are. LOL

Yes. which is why I don't really start threads. The worst is when no one replies!

I start them sometimes because I just thought of something to keep conversation flowing here, annnnd then my thread is wrong. I'm sure we're all familiar with the thread where I got like, every single state wrong. Or maybe the one where I mentioned all the actors I miss seeing, who all had a movie/show come out within the last year. lol!

Most of the time I don't regret them though, because even if people get snooty about their sugars, maybe someone else learned something useful from it or got a question answered. Hey, at least we know what topics to avoid with certain users now

@MrsTiz: Awesome response! I agree! Even if the thread sounds stupid, or you get stuff wrong who cares!! Maybe someone will stumble across it with the same ideas as you, and learn something!

Plus it's always fun to see new threads to get conversations going!

I try not to take comments too personally. First just because when you read comments online, you never exactly know the tone. So if you think someone is trying to be snotty, but really they aren't have they have a kind heart going into it, I would never want to jump on someone when I misinterpreted their point!

@T-Mom: I agree, that thread has become a total eye-roller. I agree with what people are saying, but geez... it's been said, move on.

@.twist.: Agreed on starting a thread and you get crickets in response. =\ I'm not very crunchy and feel like my responses can be downers sometimes, but hey, they're my opinions and everyone has different ones so why not!

Yeah...a thread on when to induce that got really messy.

I think that's the risk we run putting things out on the internet.

I haven't regretted starting anything, but mine have all been pretty straight forward questions at this point.

@T-Mom and @Ladyfingers: I had to go check out that thread. I heard the phrase "sanctimommy" the other day, and that came to mind when reading it. Yeah, I would regret starting that one.

I agree with others about trying not to take things too personally, although I'm not sure what is more personal than how people choose to raise their children. I studied online communities when I was in graduate school, and spent a lot of time in other online groups. I can tell you that HelloBee is by far the most respectful group I've seen.

@PrincessBaby: you have a great attitude. I think I need to develop a thicker skin for the internet.

@Happygal: I had to go look sanctimommy up and it made me laugh! Yes that is an awesome term. And I love how it ties it to "alpha female." It's not my thing to be a sanctimommy, but the ones who are certainly get my attention. ETA: wiki I was referring to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctimommy

@mrbee: You guys do a great job encouraging respect and it's awesome that HB is setting a higher standard.

@.twist.: awww. Sometimes threads just go unnoticed - especially if they happen on postathon days or days when people are posting like crazy! (I feel that way, too!)

A couple of times I have started threads and they have gotten messy and political and I totally didn't mean for that to happen. Those are ones I regret.

@.twist.: and lots and lots of bad grammar and spelling errors.

I agree with @.twist.: and others who feel lame for the super quiet/no one really comments threads.

Only if I forget to search before posting. I hate creating threads that are similar to a recent thread. Besides that I generally think before I post. I don't *think* I've started any drama llama posts?!

There have been a few that were just recently posted with the same question. I wish I would remember to search first. There was one about SAHM's I posted and I guess I didn't use the right wording, so in that case, yes I regret that one. I try and think if it will become an issue before posting.
