We text all the time.

I've sent pics of LO on special occasions, but all other communication goes through DH. He doesn't really contact my family either unless it's a happy birthday text, or sometimes my brothers because they hang out once in a while.

She wouldn't know how to text. Most calls go through DH/ he will pass the phone and I will make small chat. Our relationship is quite strained.

FIL and I are nemesis and must have been nemesis for the past thousands of years in our previous lives. In fact, I run as fast as I can whenever they call. I never show my face on Facetime when they call.
If he ever dies (I know it sounds horrible but that's true), I may start calling my MIL though. She is great.

Nope. DH talks to her on the phone almost everyday, though. Conversations with her over the phone are at least 30 min long. No thank you.

Before the babe was born we talked at least once a day. Just to chit chat. Once I get accustomed to having a newborn I expect we will chat often again. Sadly someone in their house has been ill since she came, so she has not seen our girl in 12 days
