I woke up at 2:30 and am still up two hours later! Will try to get back to sleep soon... that famous "second sleep" that's supposed to be so restorative...
Do you ever wake up in middle of night? Are you able to get back to sleep?

I haven't slept through the night since I found out we're having twins. I wake up & can't get my mind to shut down. I've been up for two hours now because DH was having a bad dream & was yelling in his sleep. I usually fall back asleep for an hour before I have to get up for work.

Sometimes. But tonight was rough-my brain is in overdrive.
@Sugar.Biscuit: Hang in there, love

@mrbee: are you in my head this morning? I rarely wake up, but it's hard for me to nod back off, particularly after 4ish? Which just happens to be when LO woke me up this morning going "nonono" over the monitor. He keeps falling back asleep and waking up and doing that. Bad dreams?
Anyway, I tend to be an insomniac worrywart -- my mind starts racing about everything. It's a really awful feeling, and I'm not looking forward to facing the day.

@LovelyPlum: Thanks hon. Sadly its 530 & I'm just now getting tired again... I'm going to be worthless at work today.
Thankfully I used this time to start updating the pregnancy book. At least I was productive lol.

Every night, multiple times. I can usually get back to sleep but some nights it takes longer than others, like if I have a lot on my mind.

@LovelyPlum: I think it's because of a night working! I had to be awake and alert at this time last night, so my body thinks that I must need to be tonight as well

@Mrs. Jacks: what really gets me is that DH can wake up (if he does wake up) and fall back asleep in 30 seconds. Also his stupid phone alarm went off at 5 playing "Don't Stop Believing" just as I may have been nodding off. He didn't get up. Kind of hate him right now.

@Mrs. Yoyo: Yup. I woke up to take care of the baby at 3. She woke up again at 3:30 and he took that one. I'm still awake and he's passed out!

I do pretty well with falling back asleep but sometimes it makes me feel worse if I can only go back to sleep for a short period of time. If I only have an hour or so, I'll usually do a few chores instead of going back to sleep and that way I can go to sleep earlier that night.

I have a heck of a hard time falling back asleep if I wake up in the middle of the night. It usually takes me a good hour or so to get sleepy again - I turn the tv on and it almost always helps. Nowadays, I'm up using the bathroom in the middle of the night and my use of unisom for my nausea helps me fall right back asleep.

I do every single day bc that's when the hubby wakes up for work. It takes me about an hour to get resettled and go back to sleep. And when I do, I still toss and turn a lot so it's not always restful.

Yep. I usually wake up sometime between 3-6am because DS needs to eat or DD needs to use the potty.
Thankfully I can fall back asleep.

I always wake up in the middle of the night, multiple times. It's super easy for me to fall back asleep though... you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone that likes their sleep more than I do!

I always wake up a few times during the night - unless I'm completely exhausted. I'm used to it so I usually fall back to sleep right away.
