I am an avid Law & Order fan, back from the original days. Now that i'm a mom to a baby girl, it's getting harder and harder to watch Law & Order SVU. I keep thinking how that could be my baby, or how my girl could end up making stupid judgement calls and end up in bad situations.
Am i the only one here??

Not the only one. I used to watch stuff like that all the time, loved true crime type stuff, etc. but before I even got pregnant I couldn't do it anymore. I think the older I get the more that stuff depresses and scares me.

@autumnlove: SVU is sometimes based on news events, so i sometimes don't know what is worse!

I love SVU - but I can't watch it when I'm eating (is that weird?). I close my eyes a lot during the more graphic violence.
Everyone tells me to read 50 shades of grey but that type of stuff really makes me queasy. My sisters swears it's not violent but I'm not so sure.

I had to stop watching all of my favorite crime dramas, including my #1, SVU 
I'm too paranoid to begin with. I have the worst nightmares if I watch that show

I get stuck watching shows like this.
Then again... I work in the field. One of the cases & Attorney of the firm was actually featured on Law & Order 'crime & punishment.'

I was crying when I watched the recent SVU episode where the little boy is kidnapped. I can't imagine how horrible it would be to not know where your child is and if they are alive or if they are being hurt or abused.
