I'm 14 weeks today and have an appt this morning. This is the first where the dr will use a Doppler to listen to the heartbeat. I had an early ultrasound at 6w4d and heard the heartbeat then but I'm so nervous that something will be wrong 
there's nothing to indicate anything is wrong, I'm just a worrier.
Do you get nervous before your appts?

Never been to a pregnancy appointment but I get so nervous for any appointment. To the point that I'm in tears ready to vomit when the doc finally comes in. I know it's my anxiety but i have a really hard time wanting to go to the doctor cause I know it will happen.

Yes! I was super nervous in those early appointments!!! As I got further along I got less worried!

I'm 19 weeks and still get nervous every month for my appointment. I've been a worrier my whole life so it's nothing new but I still worry there will be no HB. Hoping I snap out of that soon.

@septemberlove: Me too. I hate feeling this way. I have an appointment in two weeks (11 weeks) and and I am convinced it will be bad news. I am thinking of buying a doppler (even though I swore up and down I wouldn't) because I just cant take the worry!

Yup! I was always nervous for appointments until I was at a point where I was consistently feeling baby move.

Yes!! Every single time. My last appointment was at 20 weeks, we had the ultrasound and heard the heartbeat.. I was still nervous when 30-45mins later the doc went to listen on the Doppler.

I was always nervous in the beginning with my first and second ones, but once I could feel the baby move I didn't need the doctor to remind me that there was actually something in there Good Luck!

I get nervous for all doctor's appointments..I have a nasty case of white coat hypertension. Makes all the pregnancy BP checks super fun I'm hoping that now that I'm in midwifery care a lot of my anxiety will be relieved, as it's a lot less clinical and sterile in its approach.
In terms of being nervous specifically for pregnancy appointments, YES. I was a nervous wreck for a long time, but I feel better now that I can feel the baby moving (I'm 19w2d).

Yes, always! Even now that I can feel him move, I always get cranky and pick fights with DH before our dr appointments and don't realize until after that it's because I was nervous. It doesn't occur to me that I should be nervous at this point, so I never realize that's what's going on!

In the beginning I was terrified. At my first ultrasound at 12 weeks I was shaking so badly the tech had a hard time. Now because I go so often I'm not as anxious.

So glad to report back that all went well!! Dr found the heartbeat almost immediately and it was 155, which he said was perfect for 14 weeks!!!

Yes! I had an appointment on Tuesday and I feel fine until it starts creeping closer and then I let all those little worries sink in.
