I thought there'd be a post on this already but I guess not! DH & I both want our first LO to be a girl. We'd be happy with all girls or girls & boys, so I think we both feel like if we get our girl first, then we can just be pleasantly surprised with whatever the rest of our kids turn out to be! I'm sure we'd be excited to have a boy too but I think there would be a little initial disappointment. That's part of why I am leaning towards NOT being Team Green!

I wanted a girl and my dh wanted a boy. Of course we would be crazy excited either way... but I am glad I got my girl. I think going team green would still be fun for you! You'll be so excited to meet your lo you wont care either way.

This is our first baby so I really didnt have a preference at all. we plan to have 3 kids and I would like to have at least one of each gender, but if all 3 end up being the same gender I will be happy too. All I'm really concerned about is having a healthy pregnancies and healthy babies.

we're not pregnant yet, but we're going to be team green. the hubs doesn't care one way or the other, but i think i'd like to have a girl first. it would be nice to have only one child for a bit, and spoil her rotten with girly things! but, i have two older brothers and i loved that growing up! so, i really wouldn't mind a boy first. a protector for my little girl, if you will.

Hubs really wants a boy b/c he is terrified of teenage girls. I want at least one girl, and I think he would be a gread dad to girls, so hopefully we'll end of one of each and then a bonus (we're planning on 3 and are pregnant w/ our first).

we both want at least 1 boy and 1 girl. he wants the boy first and i want the girl first. i think we'd be happy with either for the first one which is why we're going team green! i hope i can last the whole time without knowing! i'm a planner!

I would like a girl to start with, DH would like a boy. In reality, we both just want a happy and healthy baby no matter the gender. I would be excited to have the first grandson on both sides, and I would be excited for a girl to play with all her girl cousins!

Well we are going to be team green! DH really wants a boy.....like really really bad. Me? I don't care one way or the other to tell you the truth. I know that we are going to have a large family, so as long as everyone is happy and healthy, so am I!

I want a girl... but of course I'll be thrilled either way. DH wants a boy, of course. I just mentally have pictured this one as a girl so much! Can't wait to find out!

We both really wanted a boy first and that's what we got, so we were happy with the outcome. For baby #2, we really didn't care either way and we found out we're having a girl. Now that the idea of having a baby girl has sunken in, we're both very excited!

Before pregnancy, I wanted a son. Only because I am the eldest daughter in my family and don't want to pass the burden/responsibility of being the eldest daughter to my future LO.
Now that I am pregnant, I am weighing heavily on the sentiment that "every mother needs a daughter..." and also just want a healthy baby.
We plan on having 3 LOs, so I'll be happy with whatever preferably that we have 1 of each gender

I'll be happy either way, but I do think about how much fun it would be to have a daughter. My mom and I are really close, and I'd love to have that bond with my own daughter. I have a feeling this one is a boy, though.

I've always pictured a boy first because I have an older brother and my husband is the oldest too. But honestly I will be psyched no matter what. I'm only 6 weeks along but I've felt like this is a girl ever since I got a BFP. Hubs and I are still debating whether or not we'll find out. I don't want to but he does.

I adopted a little boy and at the time didn't care whether it was a boy or girl. Then I had found out i was having twins. I did hope they were girls since we had a boy already. My twins developed twin to twin transfer and there was only a 60 percent chance for one and 80 percent for thd other so when they told me they were boys I didn't mind. All I could care about was their survival. During mt second pregnancy I definetly wanted my girl and so did my husband. Obviously we would love and adore whatever we got but we were hoping. We got our girl and were both very excited so now I have my little girl with her three older brothers.
I was on team green through our adoption because it wasn't really my choice. With my pregnancies I found out because I just couldn't wait. With my twins I was so overwhelmed with the idea of three babies under a year old that I just had to know what I was getting into

My husband really wanted a girl, which is what we’re having. I didn’t really have a preference until right before the gender reveal ultrasound, then I found myself really hoping she was a girl!

I wanted a girl first, while the hubby wants a boy. My reasoning, a girl can help out more, especially for baby #2! I've seen this work out well with my friends babies.
Hubby wants a boy first bc 1) he wants the second kid (preferably a girl) to have an older brother to "do some work/watch over" the younger one; and 2) he's heard boys develop slower than girls so he doesn't want to be frustrated by his slower development compared to his older sister. Given we have 1 of each of course. LOL.
But as usual, we'd be happy to have either really!!

We both want a girl first (as do FIL, my parents & sister). I'd be happy with two girls as I grew up in a family of 2 girls. DH grew up with 2 boys so I think he'd like to have someone to toss a baseball with.
We're team green because in the end it doesn't matter so long as the baby is healthy. (and because I was a little worried I'd be disappointed if baby was a boy and I didn't want to have any negative feelings during my pregnancy)

@pastemoo: haha it was opposite for me, I wanted to find out so i'd have time to adjust if need be.
I was an awful teenager and hate myself for what I put my mom through.
Soo I am thrilled I had a boy first. I want another boy second, and if I have a third I don't care either way. But that way if I have a girl, she has older brothers to keep her in line

We didn't have a preference and went team green. If we have another it will be the same.
