Last night we filled up a little plastic kiddie pool for the first time for our 21 month old. She loves water and pools but I didn't really know what to do with a little kiddie pool. There were only a couple inches of water and she's kinda too old to get excited about "splashing" so she just kinda stood there in the water.
Any fun activities for toddlers in kiddie pools? Any good toy suggestions?

I am cracking up at the image of her just standing there. I hadn't even thought about it, but maybe I should! She's only 4 months right now, but we're spending a week at the lake when she's 6 months, so maybe it would help get her ready!

We have a real underground pool and a kiddie. Obviously at 7m old, LO only uses the kiddie.
We need toys too! I have some sucks but they are lame. I was thinking maybe something with a spout so we could pour water into his head..
Maybe a bucket and a net to watch water run through...
Some floaty things like rubber froggies or just a spongey ball?
Our kiddie pool is super small because LO is not yet a toddler

@T.H.O.U.: oh yeah! And maybe try a sprinkler? She can run through...or even a slip 'n slide? Although those night be dangerous? I've never had one but they look like they could be asking for a nose bleed.

We've been playin gin the kiddie pool every afternoon lately. It's hot here! DS likes to splash, but I also let them play with their beach toys and rubber duckies in the pool. And lately DD is really into using the gardening tools (trowel, watering can, etc...) in the pool.

Update!! We found a way to make the pool fun! Slide with a baby doll and Nemo toy!

It took a long time for my LO to adjust to a small kiddie pool, even though he loves bath time.

@littlek: Oh holy cow, my husband would salivate over this. Too bad we're going to be in an inhospitable climate for kiddie pools, but if I ever did get one, it would be this one. Just for DH, lol!

@TurtleDoves: @scg00387: I just got LO the watering can from target too. It's a blue elephant, so cute and only a $1! I think they had other things in the dollar section that could be used in the pool too.

We went out and bought one yesterday because it's been so hot lately. It's a tiny padded one with a starfish on top.
