I have been wanting one for such a long time. But we really don't have the room. I've thought about clearing out a lot of the stuff in our walk in close to put a small chest freezer in there, but just haven't done it. I'd have to get rid of a lot of stuff. I love making big batches of soups and freezing them, or stocking up when there are great meat sales. Unfortunately my tiny freezer makes that impossible!

Nope. But we live in an apt. Maybe when we buy a house. We have a big LG fridge with the bottom freezer that's pretty big though.

Yes! Ours is in the garage. The fridge our house came with is teeny weeny-- can barely fit a gallon of ice cream in there (it's ridiculously narrow). Totally essential for us-- we have a lot of frozen meat and it's convenient for freezer meals/soups/casseroles.
ETA: I also just started using a template for freezer inventory and it's been a life saver--now I actually know what's in there!

No, and ours is tiny! It's so full we usually have to pretend we're playing Tetris to get the door closed

i was producing / freezing a lot of milk for my g/g twins that we had to purchase a deep freezer when they were 8 weeks.
we bought a small chest freezer off craigslist and its in our garage. now that all the milk has been used we over buy meat / fish and misc items from Costco and have a place to store it. its been pretty handy!
do you have a laundry room it could fit in?

yep! We just bought one a few weeks ago and it's in the garage. My breastmilk was overtaking our freezer and now we have lots of room for extra food too. Do you have a patio you could put it on? I think some people keep their chest freezers outside.

Yep. Actually we have two refrigerators with top freezers, one in the kitchen, one in the basement. But we also have a medium-sized chest freezer in the basement as well. And I'm on the hunt for a second chest or upright freezer before deer season, lol.

We're renting right now so it wouldn't really make sense. I definitely want one when we buy a house though. I feel like I could save so much money buy buying in bulk!

Yep! I LOVE it! I coupon, so I stock up when there is a sale on frozen veggies and meat too. It's an upright one in the garage.

We have two chest freezers. One in the house (ours) and one in the garage (ILs but they have never gotten it out of the garage, so we are using it). The one in the garage has a lot of miscellanea from the ILs that I haven't bothered to sort through and should, and some meat from a pig we had processed last year. We do use them, mostly because we prefer to buy a whole pig/half a cow and the like and have them processed rather than get it bit by bit at the grocery.

Yes, we purchased a deep freezer this year mainly for my breastmilk because we were running out of room in our regular fridge, and we store tons of meat and other things in there now too. It's so nice being able to buy meat in bulk for cheap!!!

Yep! Have a chest freezer that is the best investment ever. We have memberships to Costco and SAMs so I can stock up on frozen foods and meats for much cheaper. Works out great- highly recommend it especially for growing families!
