A red sweater from Target's Cherokee Baby that I'm going to reuse for his birthday (Daniel Tiger/ Mister Roger's). As for her, I think I'll go with a Baby Gap dress I got from MediaGirl - it's white with grey stars and grey tights. She'll look like a little present.

@HLK208: Those are both amazing!!!!
Will you link the first one?
I am going to buy H some good stuff! I've held back bc I haven't been working but now that I have a good job again, ummmmm...It's ON!!!!

Cute!
I've been thinking about it but we don't go to church or anything. So I don't want her in anything super dressy. I want her to be festive but comfortable.

@PrincessBaby: hahahhaha... That's why I work.. Need to support my obsession with buying B clothes

Those are freaking adorable! Yes, my sister already bought their Christmas dresses

I bought this dress from BGap for Christmas Eve. I liked it was long sleeved so we don't have to buy her a sweater. Carter's annoys me they are all short sleeves or sleeveless. I bought a couple outfits on Zuiliy and then some sleepers at Target. I bought some Trumpette holidays socks, headbands and clips on etsy. I want some more everyday outfits though!

@littlek: Yep! I am so grateful for the time I got at home with H but I *did* miss the freedom of basically buying whatever if I liked it:). It sounds silly but I'm excited to buy totally frivolous things without guilt again lol

@HLK208: OMG - that first one is one of the cutest things I've ever seen!

Yep, this! Bad pic pulled from Ebay, but I couldn't find it on the Gymboree site! We are also going to buy her a pair of Xmas jammies

@PrincessBaby: her shop name is AvaMadisonBoutique on etsy (I can't link it because it's on the app)
@Mrs. Jump Rope: that dress would look so pretty on C!
@cyndistar3: @Smurfette: good, I'm not the only one

I told DH that she needs a Christmas dress and he said, "You bought her a nice one last year."
Um. She weighed 7lbs at Christmas last year?
I hope he was joking:/

@PrincessBaby: I just buy and then explain later. Once my husband sees it, he is okay with it.

@littlek: Thanks! I want to get a sparkly headband or tights to jazz it up a bit. It is so cute in person.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@Smurfette: I love how simple it is! And yes, I hate sleeveless dresses too! Then the pretty top gets covered by a cardigan - pointless!
Is that dress still on there?

Great yall have me looking on etsy now. This is super cute everyday dress~

@HLK208: that first one is so freaking cute!!
i bought a gray and white polka dot dress on consignment (old BG) and then we had some dresses already from before she was born that she finally fits in!

I have a bunch of hand-me-down dresses that I can put her in. I have some handed down pj's for her, too.

My son will probably wear his regular clothes, we don't go to church or anything, and our family is pretty casual.

@locavore_mama: the GAP one, yep! 40% right now, so then it is cheaper then Carters cause you don't have to buy a sweater too!

Xander's wearing this with brown pants for Thanksgiving, but I haven't even THOUGHT of Christmas stuff! Ugh!

We bought a cute Gymboree dress for Christmas when they were running a promo a few weeks ago.

@Smurfette: how's the sizing on the dress. Are there snaps on the back? She has a big noggin and she's already wearing some 2T tops so I fear a 18-24m might be too small come Christmas.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@locavore_mama: I haven't tried it on her yet. I haven't actually put any of the 6-12 on her yet. But the summer ones were sleeveless, in 3-6, were always a little big in the sleeves but fit her in the length. I can look tonight if it has snaps. I would assume yes, most of their stuff does.

@Smurfette: What size clothes are you getting R for December? 9 months or 12 months? Trying to figure out what size I should get Xander...
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: 9 months. She is still wearing some 6 month clothes. She isn't as tall as Xander.
I like his Thanksgiving onesie. I got the Thanksgiving dress from Carter's for R and then a onesie at Target. DH was like why does she need both? Haha!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Xander's hard to figure out because he's tall and thin! 9 month waist-wise would fit, but length-wise might not.
I actually should've gotten a second outfit for Xander for Thanksgiving because once he eats, he'll need something else to wear!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: They have cute ones at Target. Even have a little turkey on the butt.
I would check the length for 12 months, and see if he is getting close to that.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Good idea. Currently the 9 month stuff fit perfectly in length, but are still baggy around the waist, so I'm not sure where he'll be in another month!
I LOVE this for Christmas...

I love that first dress!
We got a perfect for the holidays dress for her from a distant aunt. I don't like it. The tags are still on and I might sell it. There's also a hand me down Xmas dress we got from a friend last winter that should fit her. I like that one and will probably stick to that. We also have a really nice vintage sweater dress I scored a few months ago that she hasn't worn and it should work.
I feel kind of bad for not getting her anything specifically though. Maybe I'll get some festive pj's instead.
