My cousins are adopted. My mom has two cousins that are adopted. My grandpas sister is adopted. Quite a few in our family!
My cousins are adopted after my aunt tried for years and IVF failed (over 25 years ago). My cousins are now 21 and 18.

My older sister is adopted (my mom was told she would never have have kids, I was a complete surprise 6 years later!).
My Aunt and Uncle adopted 3 children (all foster to adopt, they actually had many foster children before they officially adopted.)
I have a friend who is going through the adoption process for a child she has fostered for the last 5 years. She also plans to adopt (or foster) more children. (And she is a single mom with an older daughter, she is so awesome!)

I know of at least 4 houses on my street that have adopted between 1 and 6 kids each.
A good friend is fighting to keep the daughter they've been fostering. The father came back into her life so they're basically her parents on the weekend only when the father works.

I have an adopted cousin (he's grown now) and we have friends in the process of adopting 2 kids from Haiti, the best part is the husband's sister is also adopting 2 kids from Haiti so they will all grow up together and know each other, so they have a couple familiar faces.

Only my cousin. She adopted twins and their younger sibling from Russia. Came home with a positive pregnancy test too. After eight years of infertility she had four children in five months.

I know 4 families that have adopted a total of 8 kids from foster care at various ages.
I know one couple who adopted their first baby a couple weeks ago, after a broken adoption earlier.
Lastly, 2 of my cousins are adopted from a foreign country.

A bunch. My cousin adopted a girl from Khazakstan. One of my best high-school friends adopted two domestically. My best friend's mom adopted two domestically. My close coworker adopted two from N Korea. Plus several more acquaintances.

Also, my mother put a baby up for adoption when she was in college (well before my time) as did a girl from my church who got pregnant at 15.

My grandparents adopted my uncle. My mom and Aunty both gave their baby up for adoption and I now know my biological half brother who was adopted out. My close colleague at work that I eat lunch with everyday adopted. One of my best friends was adopted as was a former roommate and an ex boyfriend.
