Artbee- oh, now I think I know where you live! My MIL lives there!

I used to see famous people all the time when I lived and worked in Manhattan but not now that I live in the burbs. The state senator lives on my block and that's as famous as it gets really.

Well, I live on the UWS of NYC, so I have many famous people in my neighborhood. I've run into Robin Williams and Anne Hathaway before (when she was dating that finance guy) and my neighbor saw Gweneth Paltrow shopping at our grocery store. And I know many other celebrities have apartments within a few blocks of me, but I have yet to see them in person.

Haha that was me...Jenelle lives in my hometown. I SWEAR all NC people aren't like that! Even though one of my extremely redneck cousins is dating one of Jenelle's friends from the show.

Its a small town, so I see her in stores all the time (never with her kid though). I refuse to stare because she wants everyone to recognize her as a celeb and that's obnoxious to me haha. My best friend works in a pharmacy and she said Jenelle came in one day and acted like everyone was supposed to know who she was.

A few miles down the road is where One Tree Hill is filmed and a ton of movies, but I've never actually run into anyone

I live in the middle of Kansas which isn't exactly little Hollywood. Kirstie Alley did grow up in a city about 30 minutes from me and she comes back and visits often. I know many people who've run into her at Hobby Lobby, out to eat, the Harley store, etc. When my cousins were little Kirstie's sister was their baby sitter so they saw her all the time.

Martina McBride went to community college in the town where I grew up and her sister's family still lives there. She comes back for visits pretty frequently and a friend of mine was the sister's babysitter. One night, Martina was in town and drove her home.

And, Bill Murray loves to come play golf at the country club in the town where I grew up. Murray sightings are pretty frequent although he can be a bit of a jerk about it. He is known for making reservations at a restaurant for a large party sometime in the early evening and then not showing up until like 10 minutes before closing.

ETA: Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert frequently come deer hunting around my hometown and bring a lot of celebrity friends with them. A girl I work with went to their wedding because he husband is their hunting guide.

Living in Seattle we have different types of "celebrity" sightings. Paul Allen, Bill Gates, Josie Bisset (anyone remember her??). None of these people live in our neighborhood though.

Does Dustin Diamond count (Screetch from Saved By the Bell)?? lol! He is hardly a celebrity but he lived in our neighborhood by Milwaukee, WI. From the sound of it though he was pretty trashy...he sold tee-shirts b/c his house was in foreclosure and also did that porn video. .::ICK!!::. But that's about it...not a lot of celebs hang out in WI. Although Justin Timberlake did bring Jessica Biel to a few Packer games.

Not in my hood, but I've seen many at restaurants =)

@mrbee: OMG yes...it was awful. I once saw a blurred out clip of it and thought I was going to die lol. Apparently he was really strapped for cash or something.

@sweetchic: my brother played little league on the same team as jake. we used to live in the same neighborhood in la. he seems like a nice guy since he's always visiting his sister!

Joey Lauren Adams is seen from time to time and Kris Allen.

I live in MT, so nope! I dont think I would even recognize a celeb if I saw one!

I always see Nicole Richie at the Whole Foods near our house.

Wow, this is so foreign to me. Living in NE there are pretty much zero celebs here

I'm new to Seattle so haven't noticed any celebs but I'm pretty clueless and one could be sitting right next to me and I would NEVER notice

When we were in SF though, I would see them occasionally around town (if they were pointed out to me) - Robin Williams, Sean Penn, etc.

I've never run into any celebrities out and about. But I did meet George H. W. Bush working at the Final Four this past April. I kept running past him (literally, I was working with the photographers), and right as he was leaving he had me stop. He told me he was impressed by me and that I was beautiful. We posed for a picture with a newspaper photographer but I never saw the picture, despite emailing the photographer.

I don't have any famous people that live nearby me personally. However, Nelly is from the Lou (St. Louis) and has a nice mansion-like home not too far from me. Sheryl Crow taught music at an elementary school in the district I teach in. Jon Hamm from Mad Men went to elementary school with a few friends of mine from high school as well.
