@Modern Daisy: we live in the same neighborhood! my biggest sightings around here were Conan and his wife having brunch next to us at Telepan and Tina Fey two mats away from me at Prenatal Yoga Center on 72nd St. Being in a class with Tina was neat... She was so humble and seemed so shy during introductions, but cracked a few jokes during class too. Also, I saw Yoko Ono walking towards Columbus Circle and Slash hanging around outside the Empire Hotel. Oh also John Lithgow from 3rd Rock from the Sun at lunch at Jean Georges. I've also stumbled across a few live tapings of Glee (saw the whole cast!) and Gossip Girl.
I've heard A Rod and a few other Yankees live down the street, as does Carmelo Anthony and LaLa, and Sherri Shepard, but have yet to see any of them.
Around NYC, I've also seen:
-Bethenny, Jason and Bryn getting Doughnut Plant
-Jessica Simpson leaving Gramercy Park Hotel
-Sarah Machlaclan leaving a building near Rockefeller Ctr
-Nigel Barker at a West Village playground -
@NYCaliMama: Don't you just LOVE the UWS?? I feel like I could live here for the rest of my life and be happy (and broke too, but that's okay right??). I walk by that prenatal yoga center almost every day, I used to live on 73rd & west end! And I've always wanted to go to Telepan, in fact, I think DH is making a reservation there once things calm down with our move. I personally think it's the best neighborhood in the city, but I'm a little biased

Ohhh, which Teen Mom? I'm addicted to that show!
We don't really have any famous people here, with the possible exception of an up-and-coming (and very attractive) Congressman that we've seen out and about occasionally.

No one famous here really. Larry the Cable Guy lives here, so I've seen him quite a few times. My sister's sister in law dates his nephew, so she sees him all the time.
Oh and Warren Buffet lives in Omaha, he's not so much famous as just really really rich!
Farrah from Teen Mom lives in Iowa, just on the other side of Omaha.

even before I lived here, I just loved and felt drawn to it. You used to live really close to Tina Fey then. She's a few blocks north of your old place! Do you follow the blog My Upper West? I love it!

@artbee: Yep, I remember when they said her name, all the audience members around me were talking about how she's the one from Teen Mom haha. They had a camera crew there too.

I see a bunch of hockey players and tall basketball players in my hood. Altho, I don't know who they are but I know they are athletes.

@lilteacherbee: I'll have to catch a repeat. Her part on the show now is about how she's failing college. But good for her for graduation high school!

@artbee: I haven't seen it in awhile, but I know what you mean. I was pretty impressed that she finished high school considering her track record. She's been in jail quite a few times. Her mom works at the local walmart so I've seen her a lot too.

I live in an itty bitty country town in Oregon, no celebs here. I live in Ross Coleman 's (Bullrider) home town and see him all the time, my husband graduated with him.
