We do! In our house, mowing the lawn, cleaning the gutters, taking out the diaper genie and refilling it, washing dishes and loading the dishwasher (he redoes it every time I try and load) are "daddy jobs."
Cleaning the bathroom, folding laundry, dusting, organizing, and vacuuming are "mommy jobs."
We didn't purposely create individual chores for ourselves, it just worked out that way! What about you?

Oh, grocery shopping is also a mommy job. My husband would come home with all the wrong stuff if I sent him to the store by himself!

I usually ask DH to do the dishes because I hate them.
I don't think he's ever cleaned the bathroom since we've been married, so that's my job. Most everything else we take turns. I always have to ask him to do things though, he doesn't just do them.

Yep! Pretty much the traditional split. DH does yard work/trash/pet care/maintenance/car and I do indoor stuff - dusting/mopping/bathrooms (ICK)/laundry
Although DH has been picking up my slack as I get more and more pregnant - mainly with dishes and laundry.

yep! didn't do it on purpose, just kinda fell into place... i usually cook and do laundry, and usually the dishes too, he does outside labor/taking trash/vacuums. we split doing dog duty and getting things ready for work like setting the coffee, etc.
we usually go grocery shopping together; he likes to take his time though and i'm an in&out grocery shopper!

My husband does most of the cleaning and I managed to convince him that changing the diaper-genie is a "dad job"! Muawahahahaha!!!
My only real "mom job" is making LO's bottles because Im the only one who gets all the formula clumps out (I am obsessive about those darn clumps!). I also vacuum usually because I like to vacuum.

Yepp! He takes care of the yard, takes out the trash, washes the cars, does any maintenance that needs to be done, etc. I cook, clean the bathrooms, clean the floors/rest of the house, do the laundry. He'll usually clean up the dishes after dinner. Whoever is thinking about it takes care of the dishwasher.
It's just the way things work best around here!

Yup! Didn't set out to do it but it just kinda happened. He deals with garbage, cars, yard work, maintainence, and usually vacuums. I clean, organize, laundry, etc.

Nope. Pretty much whomever is available has to do the work, and we end up switching off a lot.

since i only work a few hours a week and he works full time, i do most everything around the house. he takes the trash out and takes the can to the curb, but i do just about everything else. he would cut the grass, but we pay someone to do it since we have a huge yard. i definitely don't mind since he's contributing so much more financially.

Yes and no. For the most part I do things like laundry, cooking, changing poopy diapers, etc. and he does yard work, takes out trash, car maintenance, etc.
But if I need help with laundry he'll do it. We're not strict on our roles. ,

My husband takes out the trash (I collect it through out and get it together for him so all he has to do is lug it out to the curb) takes the dog out in the AM and evenings. He is also in charge of oil changes/car maintenence and the banking! The banking is a HUGE one that I could never do! We split dishes and I do most of the rest.. cleaning, organizing, grocery trips. I also do the cooking but I enjoy that (for the most part)
