We don't have anything now, but DH is inheriting land and possibly a business and I will inherit property.

We have 1 rental property. However, we are looking into getting some more.

I don't see inheritance on the poll. I will inherit my parents property, I'm their only child. Dh will also inherit property from both his Mom and his Dad, he is now an only child as well.
As for actual income I sort of receive child support, I don't count on it and it's a small amount (the arrears are huge however).

I *should* have child support (which I don't really consider government benefits) but I don't & I really would like to start an etsy shop doing crafty things but I haven't had a chance to yet!

We have a rental property in Hawaii, and I work from home! I can work with my little ones by my side, and we don't have to pay for childcare! SCORE!

I have a rental property, too bad I am currently losing $$ on it every month. Boo...

We had a little government help until I started working. But that was very minimal because we were just nearing the income threshold. Working definitely made us uneligible- which is a good thing!! I think those programs are GREAT for helping people until they're stable enough on their own Which is exactly what it did for us.

We have investments, but I don't really count them because they're long term and none of them pay dividends. Of course the IRS claims we owe 30% on them every year - even if we lose $ on them that year and we have to jump through hoops to teach them how investments work while fighting the bills they keep sending which is a whole other story.
Other than that my parents help us out a lot financially. We aren't on an allowance or anything and I don't have access to any of my inheritence or trust fund yet, but they give us monetary gifts for things like the down payment on our house and at Christmas they usually throw us a pile of cash which is nice. They've also told us they will be giving us their car which is awesome with the baby coming.

I said stocks and investments, but we don't actually use the money, it's just building up for retirement, I guess.

We have investments, but like @Modern Daisy said, I don't really count that since they're long term, and I don't plan on touching that money until I've retired.
We have one rental property right now, and hope to procure more in the future.

We have 1 rental property and plan to buy more in the future. We have stocks and investments but we don't access or live off that income yet; that's for retirement. I also have 2 Etsy shops, but those are not "real income" - they pay for my hobbies and give me fun money, but it's not income one can count on!

I didn't know whether to vote "help from family" or "other," but basically my husband inherited money that's paid yearly.

@MrsBrewer: I am a member of the International Guide of Miniature Artisans and make 1/12 dollhouse food for adult dollhouse collectors (they are not toys, haha). I also make these minis foods into jewelry.
The other one I sell vintage books, handmade confetti made form musics and music, some vintage clothing and china, cupcake toppers made from vintage atlases, etc. Fun paper goods and vintage stuff

@yoursilverlining: that soooo awesome!! I'm totally interested in seeing this miniature food! I bet put soo much work into this! Want to send me a wall post of your etsy shop?

We have investments that only bring us income when they pay dividends (which they did last year!)

You mean other than the stripping I do at night ; )
We have investment income but we reinvest it so it doesn't count. We will get assets and rental properties from our parents when they pass away (hopefully not for a looooong time) but they don't provide us with regular financial assistance.

Nope! We break even on our condo. We got such a great response to our ad, we should have asked for more money!
