I have a mid-size SUV but no rear-a/c. I live in TX and it gets HOT during the summer (current high is 101 today w/ about 85% humidity). I didn't think about how the passengers wouldn't get much air flow when I bought it, but now I feel so bad for my girls when I see them sweating even though my a/c is on full blast.
DH has a full-size SUV and his has rear-a/c. It makes such a difference!

We have s Mazda 5 and it has 2 tiny vents down low. It works OK to get he back cooled down if I aim them towards the ceiling.
You could try a noggle! But they're a little pricey at $40.

We do, but it's still warmer back there than in the front. I try to aim the front vents up so more air gets back there. But it's also not nearly as hot here as Texas.

@avivoca: I live in TX as well, and it gets HOT. We pretty much have to have the ac cranked up with the inside recycling on to keep it cool in the car in the middle of the day. I love my Mazda 5 though! It's quick, nimble, and small to fit in tiny spaces and the sliding doors are awesome! Pretty good storage in the back if you're not using he 3rd row.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I have a Versa now so I'm used to the smallness. I'd kill for sliding doors though! It's hot in KY too, but it's not year-round like it is in Texas.

We do in DH's Pathfinder, but not in my Highlander since it's a lot older. The Highlander's vents do fine if I point the middle ones to the back.

Our Terrain that we had was like this! No go for me in Texas! We now have an Acadia that has rear vents. Although, last week my A/C went out in my car. I'm a whiney one though and got a loaner same day with the "I can't transport my two young children in a car with no A/C!"

We currently don't by in either car, but it's on my list of must haves when we replace DH's car this winter. I just saw a Noggle in my friend's car today and she said she likes it, so I'm considering one to get us through the rest of this summer.

We do. Individual air vents over each of them was a selling point for the car we chose after moving to Texas, especially since we ERF.

Our Acadia has a rear AC which is super nice! except I can never get it to control by the front and the girls are buckled so I usually have to lean back to adjust which is annoying. I know there is a way I just haven't figured it out yet....4 years in.

My car has 2 tiny vents in the back and its not enough! I feel bad for my LO sweating back there. This was one of the reasons why we decided to forward face her earlier this summer (she was already over 2.5). She's much more comfortable now that she is FF and I try to aim the front vents upwards so she gets a bit of air.
Next car we buy has to have rear vents that work well.

@LuLu Mom: On my Acadia, there is a "REAR" button on the console where I control it upfront. I believe that turns on the rear vents and allows them to have the same temperature and flow settings as the front.
Trying to use the buttons in the back from the front is a PITA!

Nope, but we have relatively small cars so the air gets to the back pretty quick. LO doesn't seem overly sweaty to me when we get home (and we're in TX too).

My CRV has floor vents I believe. Not AC controls like some minivans and larger SUVs have.
I also have remote start so hopefully if it's too hot or too cold, my car will cool or heat the car before I bring the babies out. I think that will help.
I'll get the noggle if I have to.

We have back air vents but with the kids rear-facing it doesn't help that much. I have a Noggle and it does help quite a bit....only have one and the kids pass it back and forth now that LO #2 is old enough.

I have an expedition and we have rear a/c! It would be so stuffy inside the entire car if we didn't have it!

We do in DHs car but not in mine or if I do it's not in the ceiling do it doesn't reach DS2 who is RF. I feel so bad for him. Thankfully we use DHs the most.

I have an outback and it has rear vents by the console but not higher up. Poor DD is still RF and I know it gets hot back there. I shade her window but she'll still be hot even with a/c blasting.
