It's a 2 hour car ride on a very busy interstate. Not too bad most of the time, but hell on earth during busy holidays.

We usually do (4+ hours) but this year I convinced DH to stay home! I am so excited to not have to go anywhere =)

LO and I are flying to visit my family. We usually drive 6-7hrs but DH just started a new job so he can't get the time off.

I refuse!
Our family lives on the other coast or a short plane ride away. They can come to us (the baby is a good draw) or we have a really small, cozy Thanksgiving.

Yup! All of our family live far away from us. We're traveling 3 hours to see my family.

All of our families are spread out especially my inlaws. This year we are driving 8 hours for a family Thanksgiving at my SIL.

2 hrs from our house but we're spending Wed night at my IL's so D and FIL can run the Turkey Trot together and they're half an hour closer.

@lovehoneybee: oh they are going to be so hungry after the Turkey Trot! Perfect timing for extra carbs.

Yes, but it's a small sacrifice. We're staying put for Christmas!

we're traveling 2 hours to my ILs but only 20 min to my parents for the day after.

We always travel. Every. Single. Holiday. It gets old after a while but the price of family....

Not usually because our families live nearby. But we're driving 12 hours to visit friends this year. I'm not going to lie...I'm nervous.

Yes. I will have to walk about 20 steps to my parents back door.

Yep! 2.5 hours east.
I traveled 6 hours south just me and lo last weekend to see my family. Ugh, I hate traveling!

@HabesBabe: same! 15 minutes to in laws!
I'm pretty thankful since they used to live six hours away!

We travel every year for holidays b/c no family is in town. It would be nice to stay home sometime but nothing on the horizon. LO and I are driving 2 hours to my ILs and will meet DH there who is traveling. Should be a pretty easy drive and I think LO will have fun...

No but I wish I was! I'll be missing my family -- we recently moved pretty far away and we just can't afford to fly home for thanksgiving AND Christmas.
