Do you have any boards hidden? Which ones (and why, if you care to share - this is a judgement-free thread!)?

I haven't hidden any, but I wouldn't mind hiding the due date boards - just because I never check those!

I did while I was TTC. I had almost all of them hidden except the TTC and Infertility boards. Not only did I not feel like I had anything to say in the "parenting" or "pregnancy" boards, but I also just didn't really like reading about it at that time.
Now I only have all due date boards except my own hidden.

I hid the miscarriage and loss boards when I got pregnant again, bc I was already scared enough of another m/c, didn't need to see reminders that it could happen.

I just figured out how to do this recently! I hid:
- due date boards other than mine
- most of the TTC ones except the general one I think (I just don't have anything to contribute)
- infertility boards because sometimes I've almost responded on a thread there not realizing what board it was on and then my answer makes no sense. Also I have an IRL friend who is on there and I feel like she deserves a bit of privacy. -
No boards hidden - I'm far too nosy
. But in all seriousness, I have several I don't participate or comment on, but I think that all of the boards represent a part of our community and people in this community and I like keeping up with what's going on in all the areas.

For those of you who hide due date boards - just because they aren't relevant to you? That makes a lot of sense because they can crowd your front page, and I never thought of it before!
I hid my first ever board this morning - I had to hide the January due date board. The kick in the stomach is that *I * created the thread I am hiding. But after my CP, it just started being too painful to see the thread pop up all the time as new BFPs roll in.
I hope that in a few weeks I will be better healed emotionally and that I can un-hide it - I want to be able to share in everyone's journey, it just hurts too much right now.@runnerd: That makes perfect sense. I was so stressed out by the loss boards when I was pregnant.

Just due date threads, although sometimes I lurk on people's bumps or nursery's.

I only hid a due date board for a pregnancy that I later m/c. I have to confess that I kind of like reading different boards and am a total lurker.

I haven't hidden any boards but I would hide a board if it reminded me of a loss or really bothered me in some way. I don't know how to hide a board yet though and none bother me too much at this point.

Is hiding only a gold feature?
Because I'd be interested in hiding some for the same reason you mentioned.

@septca: Hugs coming your way. You don't need the reminder when the pain is so fresh, and I think with time (and things getting better) it won't hurt as much to see the board rolling by.

@MaryM: I think anyone can do it... you need to "edit" your profile - then at the very bottom of the page there is a link that lets you control which boards appear on your front page. Clicking that link should take you to a list of all the boards - you just uncheck the boxes for the boards you want to hide.

Well, that makes gold seem a little more worth it to someone who's not yet KU and not sharing enough private details to warrant gold-only threads!

I hide the other Due Date threads, and the Charting thread. I can't even begin to understand what people are talking about with regards to charting, so it's not even fun to creep on it... haha.

I think I hid a celebrity gossip board but I may be misremembering. I have zero interest in celebrity gossip though!

@Happygal: LOL! When my friends first started having babies I feel like I did this in real life. Too often they would start talking poop and I would leave the conversation!
The only boards I've hidden are the due date months that I m/c'd. It was too hard to see them popping up often.

Yes. I have several hidden, just because they aren't relevant to me and I didn't want them cluttering the main page. I have all of the TTC and IF boards hidden, as well as all the due date ones except the Spring 2012 ones. I also hid the breastfeeding boards and all the assorted ones that go with it (supply, weaning, etc). In the beginning it was because it was too painful for me, now it's just out of lack of motivation to change it.

I hid due date boards surrounding my EDD's from my m/c's. I also feel pretty strongly against sleep training, and rather than getting annoyed I hid all sleep boards. Same with the ones on things like discipline, since I have unconventional views and don't feel like debating. Oh, and the ones for things like celebrities. Non parenting/pregnancy stuff I mostly just kept family and playspace. Don't care about talking about movies or magazines! I LOVE having the ability to control what shows up.

I have hidden too many to list.
It's just that most aren't relevant to me.
With three kids, two being older than most on this forum and not being a FTM I don't really need a lot of those.
I have a lot though that I've kept. -
I have a lot hidden. All due dates and a lot of the pregnancy boards. I have nothing to contribute there and honestly it makes it easier to cope with by not being able to see it.
