We text. I wish my husband were online enough to IM/Gchat!

we IM everyday - usually after lunch through the end of the day - its not constant chatter but it makes the day so much better to be able to talk to him.

DH and I text/iM on my lunch break, and then a fair amount on the nights when he's working late. Its just nice to check in and see what's going on with his day, and make sure there's nothing I forget (so many last minute "Hon, can you bring me ____" texts).

We text throughout the day and I give him a call during lunch for a quick chat.

we gchat a bit every day. which is sad now, since we both work from home, in different rooms
when we were both in offices outside our home we im'd more frequently, now it's usually just if one of us sends the other a link or for logistics.
