I have it on the lowest possible setting because I can always hear her. I only turn it to the highest setting on the days I commute to work...DH is a deep sleeper!

Lowest! His white noise is so loud, but I can still hear him just fine.

Lowest! That way it only picks up real crying or fussing instead of every little grunt or snore.

Lowest... unless we're out in the house and doing something noisy like dishes or watching TV. Otherwise I can always here her even on low.

I have it on high while I sleep because she just started sleeping in the other room and I'm worried I won't hear her. I turn it to low when she starts crying though so it doesn't wake DH up.

It's on medium. I have it up loud enough so I can hear her white noise machine, then I know I'll hear her if she starts crying.

At night, I don't even turn it on. His room is right next to ours, we have hardwood floors and I can hear everything even without the monitor on..

Our monitor has static so I've never had the volume on. I can hear her without the volume.

I keep the volume on high but we don't put the monitor right next to my son's crib so it doesn't pick up every sound he makes, just crying or talking. If it isn't on high, we have the potential to sleep through a big portion of crying, which we obviously don't want.

I have it on low when I'm upstairs and I turn up to medium when I'm on the ground level and I have the television on.

I vary it, but usually lowest at night. Our room is close enough to hers that I"ll hear crying, but don't need all the coughing, grunting, etc magnified next to my head!
