Our youngest is 2 and oldest is 3 and we only use the monitor to talk to them or check in on them, but it doesn't run all night anymore since they are older. I will keep it on all night if one of them is sick though. Our rooms are next to and across from each other though.

they are 4.5 and 17 months. They both have white noise and closed doors.

We haven't used the monitor since it broke over a year ago (DS is 2.5), so nope!

Technically it is on 24/7 but in "sleep" mode - screen and sound only turn on if she makes significant noise.

We have it on but with no volume. We hear him through the wall if he cries and then we can look and see if he's standing up.

Yep, I mainly use it as a night light. I also wake up randomly during the night to check them so I just glance at the monitor's and then go back to sleep.

Yup. Little one is up often and older has nightmares. I turn the screen off but it alternates between them.

Our monitor not activates she. There is noise above a sensitivity threshold. We keep it on every night. No video.

No they both sleep within 10ft of us so we hear when they are up in their rooms or crying for us.

Yes, I keep it on all night. But we don't have a video monitor and we sleep with closed doors and DD's room is not right next door

Yes, dd1's room is on a different level so we need it. I usually turn the video off and just leave it to scan the audio between the two rooms even though the nursery is next door and I can hear dd2 with no monitor. Neither sleep with white noise so it doesn't bother me.

Since we co-sleep I have it on till we go to bed too. I need to in case she decides to climb off our really high bed!

No, the monitor fell behind the bed about a month ago and I've been too lazy to fish it out. Thus we have stopped using it.

I keep it on so I can check if she cries to see if she is laying down or standing (standing) = Intervention

DD is 3 and a stubborn little one about bed. I have the angel care monitor so I still use it because it will alert me if she gets out of bed. She doesn't even try to because she knows it will beep.

@FaithFertility: same here! It's more for morning time--she'll talk and roll around for awhile, but I wait to get her until I see she's sitting or standing up. I actually throw a sock over the monitor so the lights aren't shining in our room.

It's on all night in LO2's room. His room is further away, and it's more difficult to hear him if he is crying.

Not the sound-only one at night because we can hear them through the walls if they wake up. We do have a video monitor that I can check on my phone if they wake up. I do keep the sound monitor on during naps because I'm usually downstairs and wouldn't be able to hear them as well.

Yes! But I need help! The monitor majorly disrupts my sleep. DS is almost 8 months and sleeps in his own room (right next to our room). But we keep his door closed and he has white noise going, he sleeps better that way. So I feel like I need the monitor. But I am so sensitive to it that I feel like every time he shifts position, sighs, makes a little noise, I wake up. I'm up all. night. long. DH said he'd move it over to his side of the bed... but I would still hear it and wake up, that wouldn't fix the problem. I don't know what to do. I am not comfortable ditching the monitor, I need to be able to see/hear him! But I need sleep!
