Do you know any young LOs with the same name as you?

I don't know many Erins in general-- a few as I grew up, but more Aarons. I don't know any little girls with the name, but I know a little boy Aaron.

I've heard of it still being used, but haven't personally met any young children with my name. It's not an old name, however the majority of those with my name are within five years of me either side.
It was most popular when I was born, late 80's, and has been steadily tapering off since.

I have a grandma name. Old ;like really old ladies have told me "oh I really wanted that to be my name!"

Not recently. I had an unusual name for the 80's but it was fairly popular in the early 2000's, I think.

Not really young kids. I know one who is 13, but she's the youngest I've met!

Nope. I think I've met one kid with my name since I've been an adult. I've met a couple of kids with my husband's much more unusual name though.

I also have a Grandma name. Ruth. It's not uncommon to hear, "oh! My great-aunt/grandma's name is Ruth!"

Definitely not. My name is more from my parents generation. I've only known a few people in general that have my name. Maybe when my kids have babies it'll be "grandma chic" lol.

Nope. My name is weird ... It got a bit popular thanks to an early 2000's TV show, but I've still never met anyone with the same name.

Actually no. I have a super common name, but it's not so popular now.

@shopaholicviv:'s daughter is spelled the same way as me. I have students with different spellings of it, but i don't know as many LOs

My friend's LO has the same name as me (fairly uncommon but not rare)... she had her before we met

Yes! I hate it! I had a pretty unique name growing up. I've never known anyone my age with my name. Now it's even been in the top 10 in several recent years. I think it was down to like #14 last year...

Yes, there's someone that I follow on IG with a young daughter with my name. I think there may also be a girl that LO watches on YouTube (parent and child toy reviews) that has my name. I think it's cool because my name is unusual.

Even though my name isn't an odd one, when I was growing up I hardly ever met anyone else with my it (Emily). Oddly, I haven't run into many little kids with my name, but I know there are a lot out there since it was crazy popular for long while so I'm sure I'll start to!

@Purpledaisy: same! mine isn't in the top ten, but inching up pretty close for the past few years. not liking this trend, I don't want it to become Jennifer Pt 2!

Nope. My name was in the top 200 from 1880 to 1980, but is down in the low 500s now. But in the top 20 in the Netherlands....glad it's still classic somewhere.

I know there is a Bee's daughter with the same name but that's the only LO I know. It was super common but not so much anymore.

  19. Ra

Nope. I think Sarah is pretty classic but it's more recent popularity was definitely in the 80s.

    @Ra: I know a little Sarah! She's 5 and darling!

My name is a bit dated. Kristen isn't exactly a hip name anymore.

  22. Mrs. Lemon-Lime

No, thank goodness b/c my name is so early '80s. The "child" of a friend that shares my name is 18/19 years old at this point.

  23. Baby Boy Mom

Surprisingly yes- a girl in LO's class. It's pretty uncommon but I do hear it from time to time.

    Nope very 80s name.

My real first name is an old Swedish name that isn't even used much there anymore. I've never met another one in my life. Although we saw a lot on headstones from centuries ago when we were in Sweden. My nickname is a bit more common, but still not very common, and I've heard occasionally a parent call their kid it in passing. But never known a little girl with the name.
