I met a little girl with the same first name while I was in a concessions line the other day. I complimented her mom on her LO's name (haha) while we chit chatted and she said thanks, everyone thought I was crazy for picking a Grandma name. Yeah, I didn't introduce myself after that...haha!

i've only met a small handful of people in my life that have my same first name. There is a famous actress with my name though, and it's not a complicated one or anything. I've seen it on list of popular baby names from the 40s and 50s though, so that's probably why there seem to be so few of us now.

My name isn't weird or super unique, but it is uncommon. I have very rarely in my life run into adults with my name, and although I think it's become marginally more popular over the past decade, this is only the second or third kid I've known with my name.

When I worked in a daycare about 9 years ago there was a baby named Jessica. I just couldn't believe anyone named their baby that after the 80's. But I bet she's the only one in her class now!

No one ever ever had my name when I was growing up. It was constantly pronounced incorrectly and most people were like where did your mom think of that?? Anyways, I have heard of a few other kids/babies with my name as it is growing in popularity! I just looked it up and it's now 261 on the ss name database!

@yoursilverlining: same with my name. It's not super weird or unique, just fairly uncommon. The only people I know with my name are around the same age as I am, and I don't know any little girls with my name.
That said, a friend just had a baby last week and named her daughter a name similar to mine, it's spelled differently, but I think they pronounce it the same.
