I usually know what my parents gift because my mom hates shopping and just lets me do the shopping for my kids and my nieces and nephews. Sometimes I know what my siblings/MIL are gifting but not always. This year I do know because they told us, which is kind of helpful because I can coordinate my gifts accordingly or make sure there aren't too many doubles with other gift givers.

I don't know, but I could find out. I set up wish lists on Amazon for the kids, so I can just check that to see what's been purchased. It's helpful because I can just share the list with anyone that asks and I don't have to remember what I told everyone.

I do so I can coordinate between the different people in different families that are getting presents. But just the people who asked me for ideas.

My mom always tells me which I totally appreciate because it prevents doubles. My in laws likely won't be able to do gifts this year. My BIl and SIL don't usually tell me but they have a lot of kids on her side so it's usually Pjs and some candy. My grandmother usually just buys one or two things and gifts money so it's usually not an issue with her either.

Yes, I made them go get it. Ha! They got her a used (in amazing condition) KidKraft doll house that I found on their local craigslist. They probably got her other things, as well.

I know what his big presents are from each set of grandparents are because they ran them by us, mostly to make sure we didn't buy him the same things. MIL also showed me some clothes she picked out to make sure they are the right sizes. But there will also be some surprises.

siblings? No and its making me nervous - my sister sent my 8 year old DS batman stuff for his birthday - he hasn't liked batman since he was 4....ugh... went straight to the donate pile I really wish they would ask - I always ask what their kids want

I give them lists and let them choose. So I have a general idea but don't know exactly. Except for my mom this year, who got D a sled, because I was with her when she bought it.

My mom/stepdad and dad always ask me for ideas and tell me about any big gifts. They also use her Amazon wish list a lot. They are big gifters but would rather spend their money on things they know we want/need/won't hate.
DH's family generally doesn't tell us. Which I'm fine with but they always give things that aren't age appropriate or clothes that are way too small. In the past about 75% of things from his mom get donated. Although this year I think his mom or brother has been using her wish list for some little things. So we'll see.

Apparently both sets of grandparents are giving cash this year (we will see if MIL sticks to this). And my sister got and gave her a Bitty Baby. So no surprises besides friends.

Yes b/c my mom opened up her presents for her to play with at their house recently since they don't really have toys there! It will be new to again later anyway, haha.

Yes, I usually ask her to get a big gift for LO but she got off the hook this year and I asked her for a very small one that LO really wants. My mom doesn't like to shop. I don't either but when it comes to LO I know just what to get!!

Not usually. But this year one set of grandparents sent gifts unwrapped, so I know those, and the other set told me what they were getting so I could prep a needed piece of it so that it will work on Christmas day. But this year is a first in that regard. No one ever asks us or him what he'd like and we don't have a wish list, so it's usually a complete surprise.

I only know what MIL got him since she ordered it on amazons day had it shipped right to us. I have no idea what he's getting from anyone on my side and I like that. Everyone has asked for ideas or what he likes though.
