I generally like visitors--but respectful visitors. Outside of our parents, who come for longer stays, I think 2-3 days max is best.

I like visitors other than my MIL but we have only ever had a few people stay with us.

Yes I do, but only when I know how long they will be staying and they don't overstay that. That stresses me out otherwise!

I generally don't love having overnight visitors. I don't mind entertaining during the day but I need my time afterward to decompress.

Yes, but we don't have room for overnight guests. But, I love having people over to eat or hangout. I'd rather do that than go to other people's houses.

I'm sometimes excited that someone is coming to visit, if I haven't seen them in a while, but I actually always wind up SO ready for them to leave almost immediately. I need a certain amount of alone time, and I don't like people in my space. It does depend on the person somewhat. My best friend knows me well enough to leave me alone for some of the time, but a lot of people don't.

It really depends on who it is. We just had friends (a couple + toddler) stay for 3 nights and it was just the right amount of time.

I don't really encorage it. I love to just be home by ourselves

No, I'm not a fan, unless it is close family. I like having my space, so I'm not great at entertaining for long periods of time.

I love having dinner guests, but I'm always ready to have them leave at the end of the night. I need my alone/decompression time. Plus, when we have overnight guests, I always find myself being super quiet the next day so as not to wake anyone up too early - I find I can't sleep in when someone's in my house (besides DH and family). But even when it's family visiting, I find I'm ready for them to leave after 2-3 days.

Yup! We encourage my family to come visit all the time. They'll be here for Easter; all 7 of them for a long weekend. About once a summer we encourage my niece and nephews to come up and stay with us (sans parents) for a week.
But we definitely appreciate/ enjoy having our routine back when everyone goes home.

Right now, no I hate having (overnight) visitors. Since I have been married we have always been living in a smaller place with no guest room and 1 bathroom so it is always a huge pain to have people stay with us. The only over night guests we have had have been my in laws so that adds to the stress. If we had a proper guest bedroom, a guest bath and more space for privacy then maybe I wouldn't mind so much but for now I dread it.
Love hosting though for dinners and things like that.

I enjoy short-term overnight visitors (maybe a few nights max). We live in a small apartment but we have a sleeper sofa so it works out. Also the bedrooms are upstairs so we don't risk waking the baby up. I'd much rather have people visit us than us visit them sometimes because her sleep is better (though she sleeps OK on travel but I worry about people waking her up in certain configurations). We've had siblings, a few friends, and our parents stay.
