Both babies are in BG newborn diapers so all they have is velcro. Eventually, I'll need to switch them to my pocket diapers with some Velcro and some snaps. Right now, Velcro is so easy. Sorta not looking forward to snaps. I know I will hate Velcro when the babies learn to un-velcro them.
Anyway, what do you like? What do you have?

I didn't end up CDing but I was planning to use snaps. From all my research, they seemed to be much preferred.

I like snaps but daycare (infant granny teachers) and MIL prefer Velcro so I had a few of those.

I like snaps! By the time dd grew out of her Velcro NB diapers they were already wearing out.

I've picked up mostly snaps, though I have the odd velcro cover as well. They seem to hold up better, I think they look better, and (most importantly) I liked that they are quieter.

We only have snaps, because I heard the velcro can wear out over time. But I will say that starting at 20 months, she had no problem unsnapping them herself, so I don't know if they're actually superior to velcro in that regard.

Three months in, I prefer snaps. But we have both and both are convenient. My snaps are holding up better though.

Snaps! Velcro is awful! First, it makes the waistband really stiff and I never felt it fit as well. Second, once she was sitting the top part of the diaper would fold under and the velcro would scratch her belly. Third, she sorted out how to undo velcro pretty early. Now at 18 mo we can't even use our emergency velcro diapers because even with pants on she can get the diaper off in under 2 minutes.

Snaps 100%. Same first two reasons as @Mae: and forgetting the laundry tabs was mayhem.

This is making me feel a lot better about my choices, haha. Though I am a bit nervous for the wiggly diaper changes! My stash is about 90% snaps.

I find the velcro really convenient but the sound of undoing it freaks LO out half the time, and wakes him up if he's half asleep. Snaps don't do that.

Snaps! But I never had Velcro. I thought about it when refreshing my stash for LO2 but am glad we stuck with snaps. LO1 never figured out how to undo them before we potty trained at 27 months.

We use snaps mostly. His night time diapers are velcro though. They're so much easier when you're half asleep. Snaps are great for us during the day.

Started with Velcro and converted to snaps. Snaps last longer. Velcro is easier but fell apart over lots of washing.

We have some of each hook and loop and snap (mostly BM freetimes and Thirsties pocket diapers.) I have replaced the hook and loop on our diapers, after having bought them used and using them heavily for over a year. But I sew so it wasn't a big deal. I find the hook and loop slightly more convenient, although at various times our kids have been so wiggly that it takes 10 minutes to get a diaper on no matter what style we use. My older LO is 2 now and he has never taken a diaper off. (I am pretty confident he could take off either style, but I think it doesn't occur to him.)
I wouldn't buy velcro diapers new, but for used--where I bought what was available--I am satisfied with them.

I hate Velcro. It scratched E up real bad a few times and sticks to everything in the wash

I VASTLY prefer the ease of Velcro but I went with snaps because of the overwhelming internet consensus that snaps hold up longer over the years, and that Velcro gets annoying when it sticks to stuff in the wash.

I only bought snaps, for the reasons mentioned above. They still look brand new all these months later. My baby is super wriggly at times, and we manage. Even my dad has learned to change DS's diapers.

I only bought snaps! I like them so far. Im only one day into cloth diapering though.

We use gdiapers which have crazy strong Velcro. I actually hate Velcro, but so far like these diapers fairly well, almost 6mos in. They have the ability to fold the Velcro tabs against themselves for laundering them, so that's a bonus, but they do stick to LO's socks sometimes & that always annoys me. I can't imagine this Velcro is going to wear out, but we'll see. Had I gone with a brand with the option, I'd have probably gone snaps all the way.

Snaps for all the reasons above, plus another...DH lacks diaper changing confidence, and it helps if I can tell him "we are currently on the third snap from the end on each side." Otherwise with Velcro every diaper change he asks me to check if it is too tight or too loose.

@danda: that makes sense. Though, we have twins and I'm wondering if one baby will need to be at one snap and the other will be different. Right now, they are a pound difference in weight.

Snaps! I didn't even buy Velcro and haven't regretted it. 18 months in, I've only had one snap bust.

I had Velcro in gDiapers and snaps now with flip and I definitely prefer snaps!
