I like white and he likes coloured lights. We seriously had an EPIC fight about this last Christmas when I tried to replace our coloured lights with white ones. It is, apparently, very serious business in our house!

our first christmas together with DH i made the mistake of not paying attention to the white lights i bought, white lights and white strand, i hated them on our tree...and went back to to the store and bought the white lights with the green strand...

The new LED lights are too bluish to me. I like the warm old-school C4 lights.

Both! I do not discriminate, as long as they don't blink (flashing lights drive me a little bonkers). I prefer white lights on the tree, because I am a tiny bit obsessive about ornaments and green/red/blue lights do weird things to them, like making Santa's face look green and freaky. However, I hang as many lights as I think I can get away with in our little space, and I fully embrace the multi-colored strands everywhere and anywhere else!

@blackbird: I'm pretty much along the lines of "if it doesn't look like Christmas has barfed all over my house, it's not Christmas."
I like white lights inside, for decor, and colored lights on the tree, and outside. I tend to like the combo of white and red, or white and green, because it reminds me of mints.

@ShootingStar: @autumnlove: @spaniellove: OK, if blue lights are a Hanukkah thing, that's one thing. But I know people who just put them up for Christmas, and they give me such a headache!

I like white lights outside & either for inside. Our pre lit fake tree has white lights.

White, at least for my tree inside. I think white lights are warm and cozy. Colored lights inside is just too much for me!
The lights on our house are white and red (alternating) with a cedar garland that I string white lights through. On our bushes, we do white and red as well.

White only! My husband likes colored but has yet to convert me. I think the only ones I would be okay with are the old school big ones like we had growing up!

I like white outside! Last year DH got some LED ones that looked totally blue. I made him take them all down! Woops

Colored! Christmas should be a fun explosion. My husband thinks otherwise... we've compromised on white outside, colored inside the past few years. I'm trying to use Sadie to my advantage this year for colored lights outside - babies like lots of colors, right?!
