I'm meh on mine. It's normal, not too common but not weird at all (everyone probably knows at least one of me). My name could have 2 different nicknames. While I hate nicknames, I would possibly prefer one of them to my real name.

@mrs. wagon: Aww, thanks! And I like your name - don't think it sounds stripper-y or whatever at all!

Eh. I don't think I liked it much when I was younger. My maiden name began with a K, and in college I was BK. I liked that.

My mom was going to name me Summer, and I always wanted to have that name! One of her other choices was Leilani, and I love that name too! But no....she chose this name. (Head over to gold name thread if you don't know what it is.)

I am named after my mom's sister, but my mom just spelled it differently.

I love my name, and didn't think it was too popular cuz when I was growing up, not too many Asians. But now, especially with my married name, it's super duper ruper popular.

I like my name, it just gets annoying when people assume I'm a guy.

I love it! I almost never meet other women with it who are less than 85 years old (okay, sometimes it's someone's middle name), but it's definitely classic. I didn't always love it--in high school I disliked having an unpopular and really traditional name, but now that I'm an adult, I think it's awesome that my parents had the foresight to give me a name that translates seamlessly into adulthood. It's serious, but feminine, and there is an obvious historical reference point that I find very meaningful.

I have grown into my name. I hated it as a child because there was never anything personalized available with it...I SO wanted one of those license plate things for my bike and I cried when they didn't have my name.

Now, I like it because it's memorable. No one forgets me, lol.
