I like it but I wanted a longer name when I was younger!

No, I dont hate it but I dont like it. It's a fine name, there were just too many of us in my generation.

I do! When I was younger I wanted a girlier name, but now that I'm older I feel like it's a good neutral type of name that is good in a professional setting.

I didn't like it when I was younger because I thought it wasn't feminine enough and was way too uncommon. I've grown to like it though and realize it fits me. I also think it's more feminine now and it's growing in popularity on baby name lists.

I love it. It's different enough while not being too different.

I'm sort of "meh" about it. I was named for my aunt and I love that. But people always call me by a very similar and much more common name and that has annoyed me my whole life.

I love it now but hated it when I was younger because there were SO many of us.

I
my name! I love that I'm the only one, I love that it's still familiar feeling, and I love that it's pretty! I just love my name... even though it's *never* spelled or pronounced correctly (well sometimes pronounced right) and I always have to spell it multiple times when giving my info for forms/etc. I still love it!

Kelly- and I said "indifferent." I wished I had a more formal name that I could nickname then. I also felt it was kind of "valley girl" because of all the "ee" ending names that were popular in the 80's. I also hated that it rhymes with smelly. Other than that though, I don't mind it! Not sure I'd change it, but I wouldn't, say, name a daughter that.

Meh, indifferent- I wouldn't change it, but all I ever hear is that someones granny has that name, and it has some really annoying nicknames (to me at least). My darn hippie parents

Not a fan. My name is popular, but creatively spelled. The name is often in movies as a rich, silly or mean girl. The name seems very young. People shorten it all the time and it sounds even more juvenile when they do. My back up name was Reagan. I soo wish my parents went with that one.

I really like my name and nickname. I go by my nickname all the time and honestly wish I could.go by my full name bc I think it's a pretty name but it's weird since I've been Ali for so long. My full name is Allison and I love it! I didn't when I was younger though (hence Ali) and wanted to be named Brooke for some reason lol!

i didn't like it growing up

I love my first name! Never liked my maiden name though, and was more than happy to change it when I got married.

I really don't like it, but I wouldn't go through the effort of changing it. It isn't even that it is a terrible name, just super common.

I love my name! It's not a super common name but classic and it's spelled differently but not too differently. It's not always pronounced corrently or spelled correcntly without my help, but I don't care. I did wish I could have a nickname as a kid, the name doesn't really lend itself to a nickname.

Growing up I always loved my first name but was embarrassed by my middle name.

I'm eh about my name. I always wanted to be called Lily or something with an L

I like it now. When I was younger I wasn't that fond of it and preferred my middle name, but never went by it.

I used to hate it, now i'm just very 'meh' about it. it's just so old/common/boring!

Love my name (Vivian) but always wished it had been spelled Vivien. My mom chose it bc she loved Gone With The Wind actress, Vivien Leigh, but didn't realize she didn't spell it the same way.

Man, I'm really curious what everyone's name is now!

I love my name! It's not unique at all (usually in the bottom of the Top 100 names), but I don't meet too many people with it. When I do, I get so excited to meet someone with my name. When I was younger a lot of people would say "That's my dogs name!" which was annoying, but I still love my name.

Growing up I didn't like it (as I was often called my screen name here and so I felt that it was an old lady name
)
As I got older I liked it more and more because so few in my generation share it. But now it's been a top 10 name for at least 10 years and was #1 for many years, so I see and hear it everywhere, and of course no one thinks its "unique" anymore.
But I still like it and wouldn't change it!

It's alright. I put indifferent. It was just a name my parents thought was cute, and I'm the type to want a name with some meaning or significance. I am rather fond of Elizabeth the First though, so at least I can claim some historical significance. I do very much like that it offers so many nicknames, since I've changed the name I actually go by several times. (Beth growing up, Elizabeth for bit, Lizzie in high school, and Liz now.)
bananas / 9227 posts
I also selected indifferent. I learned to like my name, it's who I am, but I don't think it's the prettiest name. However, I love my nickname, but very few ppl call me it.
coconut / 8279 posts
It's okay. I've never known too many others with my name IRL, even though it's popular.
I love my family-name middle name.
coconut / 8861 posts
Yep, my name wasn't that popular when I was born, so it was a little different for the time. One of the new babies at LO's daycare has my formal given name (not my nickname). It was so surprising to see since popular names don't typically veer towards mine.

I am in the minority... I really hate my name!
I don't mind my full name, but it's long (9 letters, 3 syllables) so it's always shortened, and my parents chose to use the one nickname that I really don't like. It's a stripper/hooker/cheerleader/bimbo/villainess name. I went by my full name in high school because I got sick of being made fun of, but when I got to college I just started going by my nickname again because that's what my whole family and lifelong friends knew me as, and I've embraced it. I even use it professionally.

I love my nickname. My full first name I am kind of meh on. Only because it is very ethnic (Swedish) and people have trouble saying it right. My nickname, however, people pronounce right but spell wrong. LOL But it is more common and I think it is pretty.
