i do like my name, but it's fairly common among korean american girls my age (i swear, i've known 30+ people with my name).
i'd love a more unique name, maybe something french...perhaps camille?

I actually do like my name! It wasn't super common (around here) when I was a kid, but now it's VERY common. It's also spelled like 20 different ways, I rarely meet someone who has the same spelling as I do!

I used to hate it but now I'm okay with it. I guess I would still like to have changed it

I'm on the fence about my name. I don't think it necessarily fits me but I can't see myself as anything else.
Camille is the name we have picked for a daughter if we ever have a girl

I dont love my name. But I don't care enough to want to change it.

@Boopers: i love love love that name for a little girl!

I love it! It's totally an 80's cheerleader type of name, but who doesn't love the 80's? And it's fairly uncommon so I have always been able to go by first name alone.

I like my name now! I wanted something fancier when I was younger!

@Mrs. Cowgirl: Let me take a guess, Grace?
No I am not a fan of my name for many reasons:
1) My parents used an alternate spelling and that generates unnecessary convos IMO such as "can you spell that again?" " that's unusual/ creative" "I like the way you spell it" etc.
2) My name sounds very childish, and even though I know a doctor with the same name I cannot help, but think she's a female Doogie Howser
3) My name is easily shortened and people often do- Casual acquaintances, co-workers. I don't mind the nickname, but since I do not introduce myself that way and my friends and family use my full name 90% of the time I am always unsure should I sign my name (ex email) with my nickname
4) My name is racially ambiguous and as such has been a source of ridicule, as if I could have picked my name and raised myself the way I was raised.
I would have preferred my winner up name Reagan.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: hahahaha! how did you guess?? seriously, my best friend growing up was also grace and we had to go by our first and last names all the time. there were also 3 graces in the grade below us and 2 in the grade above. so annoying.
and now i'm wondering what yours is!!

I didn't when I was younger because I think every other girl had my name (a Sarah born in the mid-80s-- I never had a class where I didn't have to be Sarah D, and there were 3 of us just in my group of HS friends) but as an adult I love it and can't imagine being anything else.

I hated my name growing up. It was already bad enough being one of the only Asians in school, and my name was just another thing that the kids could make fun of. Now that I'm older I can appreciate it more.

@Mrs. Cowgirl: I went to college with a Grace Park and she is the only Korean "Grace" I know personally. But, I keep finding lots of people with her exact name- first and last.
Good luck with my name lol

I don't love it, but I don't hate it. It's very common (Jessica), so I don't love that. But I do love that I never have to spell it for anyone. So I'd rather have Jessica than a name that's difficult to pronounce or is always spelled incorrectly.

I actually like my name (now). Yes its as common as dirt, but its a timeless classic.
I was almost named Margarent or Delaney. I can't see myself being either of those

My parents almost named me Jasmine... which is kind of awesome but I don't think would have suited me at all!

I love my name. I've never met another person with it. I do have to correct people on the pronunciation a lot. That can be annoying, especially since my last name is hard for some to pronounce too.

Meh. I wasn't a fan when I was younger (but I also wanted to be named after Disney princesses). Now I like it

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: truth: i know 3 grace parks. nuts!
