I don't because I'm generally writing so it bothers me because I want to sing along. But since I don't have a car or commute, I don't really have many opportunities to listen to music!

We aren't allowed to at my office and I wish we could! I'd be able to focus a lot more if I could have some background noise going on. But instead every little sound distracts me...

It can help when I'm editing, but it's definitely too distracting when I write!
Lately I'm home alone a lot, so I'll put music on for the background noise and sing to myself/baby.

I don't listen to music; I relish silence. I used to work in retail and there was music playing ALL THE TIME! I always looked forward to turning it off at the end of the day.

YES - all day long I listen to music when I'm working.
When I especially need to focus & crank out work I listen to something super upbeat & loud.

I like listening to music if I'm doing something mindless like housework or data entry or something silly like that.
If I need my brain at all then I have to have silence.

Nope, music is very distracting for me. Plus I sit in a row of cubicles that lines the "executive wall" of offices. So, I overhear a lot of juicy information before everyone else (who has headphones in, listening to music).

I will often have music playing all day long! I love it.
Even when I worked or was in school - I had it on. I put it on while reading or writing. The only time I can't listen to it is if I have a migraine or while watching TV.

I work at the front desk in a medical office so we listen to the Adele Pandora station...all day...every day. I like Jason Mraz, but you can only hear the same song so many times in one day!

We don't have music on, but instead of a tv playing. I've developed a new appreciation for Judge Judy and actually hear the news most days now.

Yep! If I am super busy, I will tune it out but my radio/ipod plays all day long. I don't like silence. I find it distracting.

Yup when people around me are talking too much/too loud. I also listen to music in the car or when I'm cleaning at the house. I'm a closet singer.

I need music or I'll go crazy. I sing along most of the time, which drives my coworkers crazy. My sanity is clearly more important.

Its on in the main area, so I can hear it. Sometimes I'll play music on my computer, it just depends on my mood. I always listen to it in the car, and at home while I'm cleaning or getting ready for company.
