DH and I are currently in the early stages of planning a relocation sometime next year. Currently we are in the Los Angeles-ish area and have spent our entire lives in some part of Southern California… but are overdue for a change. Our top two contenders for moving our soon to be family of three are Seattle, Washington and it’s surroundings as well as the Boulder/Denver area of Colorado.
The job market for our careers (architecture) is heavily centered on metropolitan areas…. so small towns aren’t an option! Or we’d probably move to the mountains in Montana!
We’ve spent time vacationing in both of these locations in the past but of course that isn’t anything like actually living in a place.
I’m hoping to get some insight on what life is like in these non California locations. If you have any tips or advice as to why you do or don’t like either place please share!
Thanks!
