I find them to be kind of boring unless an ultrasound is involved!
I have my 34 week today and they're supposed to be doing an ultrasound to see if DD2 is still breech or not. I'm seeing a different person this time, though, so I hope she doesn't fight me on it since a different OB said it would happen this appt!

I don't mind them. I'll be 29 weeks at my next appt on Monday. It's nice to hear the heartbeat but the whole ordeal seems to take at least an hour and a half door to door.

I have mixed feelings. If there's an ultrasound, I get very excited. However, my doctor is always running late, so it always takes 2 hours from the time I arrive until the time I leave.

@youboots: @renee: seriously. I see rotating OBs/midwife every time so I have started making my appointments with the ones that run on time (or within 10-20 min late). Haha. My fave OB, that delivered my daughter, routinely runs an hour late so sadly I've stopped seeing him!

@sorrycharlie: That's a great idea! I go to a major academic hospital and I get the feeling that everyone is running late. Besides running late, I feel like I'm getting excellent medical care! It is supposed to be the best hospital on the west coast! That's what I repeat to myself every time I get annoyed about the time delay!

I looked forward to appointments for sure, even though it always took forever and exams only lasted like 5 mins. But my dr did ultrasounds at almost every appointment and seeing my LO and hearing her heartbeat made it worth it. Even in the end, when I was getting weekly bpp/nsts plus normal ob appointments and so was basically living in waiting rooms...

At first yes…But once I had to go every other week it got to be pretty boring! Although it was a great way to get to know my doctor

I look forward to them, and then think...oh that's it? And mainly just feel thankful I don't have to pay a copay for such a short appt!

I actually do, it seems to make the time go faster. Like a little milestone each time I complete one.

I really enjoyed the midwives appointments when I was pregnant. Usually very little wait time (5 mins) and then a longer appointment where we could ask lots of questions.

I did when I was pregnant. I was on bed rest for 3 months though and my twice weekly appointments were the only time I would get out of the house. I clung on to those appointments and social interaction as if my life depended on it, lol! I also had very frequent ultrasounds so that always helps

I used to. My midwives are always running right on time and they're really great. But I've gotten too much bad news at too many appointments to ever look forward to them. Especially ultrasounds. They make me just sick with nerves.

Yes, they are like my little milestones. My midwife is great and always on time (she apologised on monday for being 5 minutes late)! It is nice to hear the heart beat and get his position confirmed plus it reassures me that my urine dip and bp are fine (strong family history of pre-e).

I did between 8 and 20 weeks, now I am pretty neutral. I guess I look forward in the sense that each one marks being closer to meeting my baby.

I love my midwife appointments! Mainly just because they gush over Zuma and it's like a family reunion.

I like them. I love my OB so it's nice to see her and I feel like I'm accomplishing something.
