Do you plan on buying an umbrella stroller or is your regular stroller light enough for travel and quicks trips out of the house?

We got an umbrella stroller as a baby shower gift. Our other stroller is a bob. It's definitely comvenient pulling the umbrella out when we go out to the mall and travel. We have a maclaren

Yup. We ordered an uppa baby vista, but I imagine that for traveling out to the zoo or on vacation, we'll want a lighter stroller when LO is 2/3yrs. Definitely waiting on purchasing one though!

We have a few umbrella strollers and haven't liked any of them. The push handles are always to short for DH to push comfortably. Right now our favorite stroller is our Joovy sit n stand. It's kind of heavy but works great with 2 kids and is pretty easy for us to navigate around.

We got one when lo was 6 months. We had a travel system so the stroller is pretty bulky. We usually use the umbrella stroller now, unless it's a walk around the neighborhood because we're too lazy to get the umbrella stroller out of the car, or if we're eating on the go so we can just put the food on the stroller tray.

We plan on getting an Uppa Baby G-lite the first time we need to travel on a plane, but we haven't needed it yet because we've never taken Wagon Jr. on anything but a roadtrip in our SUV! So our Vista has been our one and only stroller. It's big and heavy but we don't mind. Hopefully it will end up being our only stroller ever!

@mrs. wagon: FYI I just saw on the UB website they sell a bag for the Vista that you can use to gate check the stroller. While I know the Vista is still heavy so it could be a little bit of a pain we plan on buying the bag and flying with the Vista. Also, as long as you register the bag before you fly UB replaces the stroller if it's damaged while in the bag which is pretty awesome!

yep we have the maclaren quest though i don't love it that much. it is charlie's main stroller now. i find that umbrella strollers are easier when kids are a little older because they can climb in and out easily by themselves, and if they want to walk you don't have a big heavy stroller to push.

I have registered for one, I think it will be nicer for quick trips. My other stroller (which my mom has already gotten us) is very big and not as easy for quick trips or tight spaces.

We have a Bugaboo Bee (it's our only stroller) and it's light enough for running errands, etc. If we were to travel though, I'd probably look at some sort of lighter umbrella stroller, like the Uppa G-Luxe. But right now, we're ok with just the Bee.

I didn't plan on buying one but FIL bought us one when DS was almost 7 months old. I'd rather use our Chicco Cortina. It's a much smoother ride and DS will happily ride in it. The umbrella stroller has been good to travel with. It was a cheap stroller to begin with, so I haven't been stressed about it getting broken. It was also nice because the airline employees didn't mind putting under the plane for free. DS really doesn't like riding in it though. That alone makes me want to trash it.

We've bought a Mountain Buggy Urban which is an all terrain stroller and quite bulky (I wanted something to use walking the dog, at the golf course etc) but once Baby gets a wee bit bigger I'd like to get a much more compact umbrella stroller to keep in the car (for short shopping trips etc)

No plans on doing so, we have the Jeep Liberty as our only stroller. We do have people with strollers pretty much anywhere we regularly travel, so no real need to take it to the airport.

I think when LO is older, it might be easier to go with an umbrella stroller, especially when we travel. Right now we have the bugaboo bee and the travel case but the case is so big that it's a little hard to handle.

I purchased the Quinny Zapp Xtra with Folding Seat. I'm hoping this will serve as our travel/umbrella stroller that lives in the trunk of my car. We plan on getting the BOB Ironman for walks and runs in the 'hood.

Yes, my kiddo will live in a super sunny place prone to torrential rain pours. They will need protection from the elements.

We're getting the Uppa Baby G-Lite for a vacation in the fall.
