Because DS was a micropreemie, we schedule playdates with other micropreemies. We have to deal with adjusted age issues vs chronological age issues, so having him play with other babies at the same adjusted age is helpful. Also, parents of micropreemies tend to be understanding with our fears of germs and exposure.

I always wondered how (pumping) moms did it? I find it hard to schedule anything (Gymboree classes, hair cut, eye appt, anything during the day that needs a "set time") since my window is usually two hours, but that includes a pumping session...so really it's like 1.5 hours. Within that window, packing LO up and heading over to anybody's house gives us just about 1 hour to play. Is that how things go? I would love to be able to do playdates...can anyone (pumping mothers) share how they do it?

Not often since my daughter goes to day care, too. I think that will change once she starts asking me to call up her day care friends for play dates but I am guess we still have a bit of time before that.

I used to schedule one a week but she with flu season here, it seems that everyone is taking turns being sick. That and some of her playmates are on opposing nap schedules. I'd like to get back to once a week after the holidays.
