My mom used to make matching outfits for my sister and I all the time, especially for birthday parties to match the theme (Carebears was my favorite!). She still has her old sewing machine, but I never learned how to use it. I'm hoping she'll make some outfits for LO.... especially if she has a sibling I'd love for them to have matching outfits!

I do sew a bit, but lately I havent sewn much. i do plan to make a few outfits for baby and also plan to crochet a scarf and hat set for the baby when we get closer to winter again

I just pulled down the sewing machine I asked for for Christmas 3 years ago. I have never touched it. I did learn how to thread the needle last weekend. I did that and considered the weekend a success. Next step - actually trying to sew something.

I sew, but it's been awhile since I've made a garment. I'm planning to make some simple clothes (like pillowcase dresses) for LO when she gets a little bigger.

I wish I knew how! I bought a sewing machine a few years ago, and I am completely clueless as to how to get started. I read over the manual and look up youtube clips for help, and I make no progress.

I have a Singer that I want to go get fixed after delivery. My mom was a seamstress for almost 30 years so I'm hoping she can teach me when she's here after I deliver. I'm going to start with simple curtains since we have odd sized windows at the new house!

No, I don't have a sewing machine. I can do basic stuff like patch holes with needle and thread. I'm not skilled enough to make my own clothing and probably never will be. I admit that I didn't do too well in sewing part of our Home Ec. class.
I hoping to get a simple sewing machine to repair hems if I have to. Things that need simple straight lines.

I have my mom's old sewing machine which she got for a graduation present. She never learned how to sew much beyond hand sewing a button back on or using the machine to sew a straight line. I would love to learn how to sew and wish I had been interested when my grandma was alive so she could teach me since she always wanted me to learn. Now I feel guilty taking a class from someone else since she wanted that time with me.
