I'm really bad at this. I will try and make sure all jeans are with darker clothes, but other than that I just throw stuff in.

I'm actually pretty particular about all things laundry. It's my favourite chore and I like it done a certain way (including the folding!). My husband is allowed to do his work clothes and that's pretty much it. hahaha
ETA: duh, I forgot to answer the question. Yes, I sort my laundry.

I usually will sort towels to wash separate (with the 4 of us we seem to always have a load of towels), but otherwise jeans go with dark colors & I just wash things together! DH sorts clothes to the point that he even separates blues & reds rather than just putting them together as coloreds. I can't function under such organization! lol

yes! I do about 5 loads I think
a cold dark hang load
hot white load w/ dry
hot linens
dark load to wash and dry
towel load! -

DH does all of our laundry and I have no idea if he sorts things or not; I'd rather be blissfully ignorant.

- delicates (underwear and my lululemon)

-whites (depending on the whites they might get thrown with the darks!)

YES! Generally sorted into whites, darks, lights, reds and towels. Depending on the sizes of the loads, some reds can break down into darks (purples, burgundy) and lights (pink, khaki).

Nope! We have very little whites so I just toss them in with the colors (only whites I can think of are hubby's wife beaters and socks). I wash everything together except for floor mats and linens. Those are washed separately.

I never used to until all of my clothes were coming out fuzzy then I realized that you have to separate the towels!! We're now good about separating whites unless it is a super small load.

Only between towels, bedding & clothes. Oh and DH's hockey stuff gets washed separately, because dey narsty.

- Whites - all whites and I throw in a whitening powderEverything is washed in cold, and all of LO's clothes are hung up to dry, all of my work clothes and nicer clothes. Everything else goes in the dryer.

Towels, sheets, and diapers all get their own individual loads. But otherwise, I'm not very particular about sorting. I just throw it in and put it on warm.

Eh, not really. Towels are their own load, sheets are their own load, floor rugs/carpets are one, but otherwise...not so much. We really don't have any legit "whites," DH has some work t-shirts/beaters and I have a few cheap Forever 21 camis...but that's about it. I wash most clothes on cold, so...meh.

Nope, I just don't see the point lol. DH does though and he gets frustrated when I don't. If he sorts them for me I don't mind doing the separate loads- I just don't take the time to sort myself!

I do. I usually have colors, towels, baby clothes, whites, and linens. We don't have a lot of whites though. It either takes forever to build up enough white laundry for a full load or they end up getting thrown in with the colored clothes. DH washes his work uniforms by themselves.

I do! I usually throw our towels in with our whites though cause we don't have a lot of whites, jeans/dark, colors and most recently...baby girl stuff that I'm prepping
We have baskets for each in our closet so I don't actually have to sort through anything.

Yes, we have a hamper with three separate compartments for darks, lights, and jeans. I also wash towels separately.

We do (DH does). This is mostly because he has enough clothes to do an entire load of blues/greens, reds/pinks, browns/beiges, greys/blacks, and whites. Its insane.

Oh yes, indeed. Laundry is usually my job, because while DW is amazing at 99.9% of things in life, we have agreed for peace and quiet in our marriage, apartment, and lives, that she is not as systematic at laundry as I am. I take this chore willingly and gladly.
We have baskets for each in our closet so I don't actually have to sort through anything.
