I definitely think so and make sure we all get a good breakfast in every morning!
This morning LO had a power muffin and about 2 mini quiches and some OJ.
I had a few quiches and coffee.

@autumnlove: now that it's cooler I bet it would keep!! Do you think your LO would like them? Because I totally will! USPS Priority will take 2-3 biz days!

Breakfast can be the yummiest, but for me it's lunch. I need a mid-day meal to power me through the day.

I think eating through out the day is important, not just eating because it's a generally accepted meal time.
I was forced to eat breakfast as a child and I reacted by completely shunning it, which isn't the right behaviour, I realize. I don't want to do this with my son, so I am careful about what I offer him.
I like the idea of the mini quiches, do you do them with a crust or without?

@looch: no crust. I linked the recipe in the freezer breakfast thread.

@locavore_mama: Awesome, I am going to make a batch for my son to take to school, thanks a bunch!

@looch: do they allow eggs? Daycare doesn't so we're no longer able to bring in quiche! Boo

@locavore_mama: yes, they do. The only thing that they don't allow is nuts, both tree and ground varieties...which sucks for us because my son loves peanut butter.

I definitely think breakfast is important! I am much more likely to eat a healthy lunch and snack less if I eat a good breakfast. My go to is oatmeal!

I wake up ravenous almost everyday so breakfast is pretty important to me

If I skip breakfast I'm a crabby girl! I need that energy in the morning. I can skip lunch and be okay but not breakfast!

Me too! Pre-preg I always made eggs scrambled with spinach and some sort of fruit. Now that I'm preg though eggs don't agree with me. I still make them for LO, but usually do toast with PB for myself. Hopefully, I'll be able to tolerate eggs again soon.

Very important but I didn't realize it until LO started eating solids. He eats steel cut oats, breakfast sausage, avocado, and two servings of fruit for breakfast. I eat an egg, two slices of bacon, steel cut oats, avocado, and some cheese. It jump starts my metabolism, and I feel more energized.

For me it is. I find that if I don't eat a good breakfast I am starving and making crappy choices by like, mid-morning. I need protein and carbs, for sure.

Probably, although I'm really bad about eating it. I do make sure that DD gets a good breakfast, and so far she loves it. When I have the time, I cook her scrambled eggs before daycare and give her some fruit. On MWF she eats breakfast at daycare, and they give her whatever they give her -- sometimes I'm less than happy with their options
