I know they are also made by P&G ( same as pampers) but are they similar in quality to pampers? With pampers downsizing the box ct I'm wondering if its worth trying a cheaper brand

They are much thinner and lighter feeling than Pampers, but we used them while we were on a trip and had zero issues! No blow outs or anything. They are very fragranced though.

We've used Luvs, Pampers, and Target brand size 1s, and I'd rank them in quality Pampers, then Luvs, then Target, but to be honest, I've been pretty happy with the Luvs. They are very absorbent and we've had no leaks. They also are way more comfy looking than the Target ones.

@Mrsbells: I think they are similar...but I'm not super picky about diapers! I've never had a leak with them, if that helps.

We switched to them recently because they're so much cheaper- and so far so good!

I will admit I'm a Pampers snob - we were gifted a box of Luvs and used them only because they were a gift. They just feel more papery to me and not as soft. I don't remember LO having any leaks in them, though.

I've tried them and I thought they were okay, I still prefer Pampers.

I think pampers are a little better, but we use Luvs. We use whichever is cheaper after considering amount and coupons/sales (:
