We have a few we watch together and we watch separately too.

Our current family fav is American Ninja Warrior. My DD loves making obstacle courses afterwards. I control the tv and my DH is pretty tolerant so he watches whatever I'm watching (General Hospital and Real Housewives included. )

We each have our own shows we watch individually and then a few series that we are watching together on Netflix.

DH barely watches tv so I can't wait for him for shows anymore!

Almost entirely together. We only have one TV and I'd rather watch a show with him than a show I might like slightly better alone. I have a couple of shows I watch alone that I will watch while I'm folding laundry or something during the day. We are both pretty good at compromising on the tv.

We watch together and separately. He watches anime during his lunch hour, and I watch documentaries/pbs shows while I wash dishes. After the kids go to bed and clean up a bit, we usually sit on the couch and enjoy a show or movie together.

Both. I'm less of a TV watcher than him, so we have a few things we both like that we watch together (depending on the time of year). He is always also in the middle of another couple of series, too - usually something pretty dark and violent that I am not watching! (Seriously, can't handle it with pg hormones - I don't know what the deal is!)

He watches his shows whenever he wants, however much he wants. God forbid I watch one of my shows while he's in the room. He can't stop talking about how stupid it is or when can he change the channel?? We have a few shows we watch together but we only watch those together if he isn't watching what he wants. It's an issue here. A first world issue. But still an issue.

Together. Though he WFH a few days a week so he has shows he'll watch while he eats lunch. But when we're both home we watch together.

Both. We have shows we watch together but then I have shows I watch alone (I SAH so I have more time). DH watches sports alone. He doesn't really have any other shows he watches alone because he doesn't have a ton of time here without me (and if we are together we watch things together mostly unless there are sports).

We actually have a big issue with this.

He works til 11 pm, so I usually will watch one show in between when the girls go down and when he comes home. So it's technically "my show." But then, when he happens to be home early or when he has a day off, he will watch the show with me and from that point on considers it "our show" and gets mad if I watch an episode without him.

Just recently I started this random show called "Complication" on USA. My goal was to have it as a show I could watch when he's at work. Well, he watched one episode with me, and then last night he was all sassy because I was an episode ahead of him! It drives me NUTS.

Together. Generally his shows are too gory for me, but I get sucked in anyways. Waiting for Gotham to come back next month. And my shoes are usually too stupid for him (ABc Family stuff like Switched at Birth and The Fosters) and he acts like he doesn't care, but he ends up asking a million questions to get caught up when I do watch an episode without him, haha.

We only have one TV, which is in the living room. And we don't have a basement or any offices or anything, so that's probably part of the reason why - it's hard to get TV time alone.
