I've never been into slippers. I'm much more of a sock kinda girl, but now we have tiles in our hall and kitchen, I'm starting to think I might be happier in slippers!

Yes...DH calls them my "dusters" because they're fuzzy and look like I could dust the floor with them if they were the same material on the bottom! Our house has carpeting, hardwood, and tile. And if my feet are cold, the rest of me is cold!

I've gone back and forth over the years depending on where we live. Our current apartment has carpets everywhere except the kitchen and bathrooms so I typically don't have anything on my feet. Our previous apartment was all wood floors so I always wore slippers in the winter.

I wear ugg house slippers and fox slippers from Boden!

I wear Birkenstock Bostons! They are my inside shoes. I like the support.

I would really prefer to be barefoot, but since that is so bad for my high arches, I usually wear chacos or my orthotic flip flops.

@mrs.shinerbock: Where do you get orthotic flip flops? I am supposed to wear footware with arch supports 100% of the time and I'm so sick of wearing sneakers everywhere...

No, I just wear socks around the house. We have hardwood floors on the first floor and carpet upstairs, but I keep my house pretty warm in the winter, so socks are comfortable for me. My son goes around barefoot, because he hates socks, and he seems fine.

Always, even in the summer! I wear Haflingers, they have great arch support!

Most often I'm barefoot. If anything I'll put on socks and I wear flip flops too, but I remove them before stepping onto rugs.

@MtnBiker: it's a brand called Orthoheel. They have a lot of cute ones, but they are pretty pricey. You can get them on zappos.com, but I'm sure they sell them other places too. I also find that Chacos and Birkenstocks have enough support.
ETA- even though they are pricey, I think they are worth it because they are well made. I've had one pair for 5-ish years that are still in really good shape and I wear them after work several times a week and at least one day each weekend.

Yes! I only started this past summer and I'm now bhooked. I like the isotoner ballet ones.

Splurged on some Ugg slippers recently and they and absolutely perfect, comfortable, climate controlled, you name it. Even so I wear them about 50 percent of the time, barefoot the rest of the time.

Yes! We keep our house at ~65 and one of the rooms we spend a lot of time in has unheated space below the floor. Socks+ slippers are a necessity. Our kids, however, often won't even keep their socks on. I try to keep extra layers on the rest of their bodies, and I figure they'll eventually catch on to the benefits of slippers

I do once it starts getting chilly. I usually wear thick cabin socks with my Muk Luks. Soooo comfy

Always! My feet are always cold. Even in the summer I have lighter slippers to wear because we have animals and hardwood and stepping on critter dust and fur in bare feet is gross. Although now we have a Roomba so it should be better!

Yes! In the summer I wore an inside only pair of flip flops, and switched to slippers when it started getting cooler. Our house is all industrial tile and it just never feels clean to me. I'll probably switch back to socks or bare feet when we move to a house with carpet again, though.

I usually go barefoot, but now that I'm getting further along in pregnancy, I've been wearing my slippers for the extra cushion. My feet hurt! I definitely do not need them for the warmth (its been super warm here lately...).

I wear fuzzy moccasins when I am home, with no socks. In the summer though, I just go barefoot.

I normally go barefoot, but if it gets really, really cold, then I'll wear slippers around the house.

Yes, I always wear my LL Bean moccasins in the winter and flip flops in the summer! We have wood floors that are always cold, and I also hate the feeling of dirt, dog hair, etc. on the bottom of my feet...

No, I hate having my feet constrained (I can't sleep at night unless my feet are uncovered!). I only wear shoes out because I have to
The rest of the family wears slippers, though!

In the winter I wear these: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/18664?feat=503422-GN3&page=women-s-wicked-good-moccasins
They're super duper warm though. DH has a men's pair and he can only wear them for a little while before his feet get too warm.

Yep. We have hardwood, throughout and it gets chilly. DD lives in her unicorn slips.

Yes! My feet are always cold so I wear Muk Luk type booties often.

Usually barefoot, sometimes fuzzy socks if it's really cold. I have some nice fuzzy slippers but my feet always get too hot when I wear them. Plus my dog loooooves those slippers. For eating.

@petunia354: those are my house shoes, too! Well, I wore them during the last month of pregnancy every day, but they're once again my in-house shoe. I feel weird wearing slippers at home, but those are warm and supportive.
