I have been meaning to projectile-proof my car since I read this article. Have you heard of this??? Have you taken any steps to secure items in your car?

scary stuff. I was actually pretty good about this when LO was a baby and am less so now. more likely to give her stuff like a sippy when she asks for it, though the stuff that stays with the seat is all soft (blanket, stuffed animal). maybe time to get better again!

A cell phone?? Ugh, I always think of big things! We usually just have a few books in the back seat and jackets in the car so nothing major but my cell phone sits in the cup holder usually.

That is so scary. Poor baby! I need to remind my DH to stop letting her hold his iPhone in the car. Imagining tiny bits of glass breaking and getting in her eyes is making my stomach churn and heart breaking.

I would be inclined to ignore this, because it's such a pain, but I was in an accident 2 years ago and saw first hand how things can fly... so... I think it's something I've gotta do.

I'm pretty careful with what I give her...nothing I wouldn't be ok with bonking her on the head with! Most things tucked away as much as possible.
