My family always buys dh nice stuff for his birthday! They spend more on his presents than they do on mine...... -.-
Last year they bought him an iPhone 4S
This year they sent money and we got dh a winter jacket and 3 pairs of jeans!

My parents will do something small for him. They like to combine his bday gift with Christmas, though so it can be bigger.

Same here. I think my dad has completely forgotten that my birthday even exists! But I guess it makes up for the fact that DH's own parents don't buy him anything!

My parents get DH nice gifts, my MIL however gets me bad ones. This year she gave everyone in our family (DH, DD) $100 check. I got $50..... My parents always get him nice things though.

Whoa, nice parents!! My parents will always buy DH something (and sometimes his parents) when they go on their trips.
@chopsuey119: I think that's how my parents feel too! Seriously, when we got engaged they bought his wedding suit and bought all of these gifts for his parents. It felt almost like a dowry!

DH and I are only a week apart and our families usually give us gifts and celebrate both birthdays at the same time. It would be really awkward if they only gave a gift to one of us!

Yep, they spend the same on him as they do me. Our bday's are only a week apart so we just do one dinner to celebrate.
