No. They majorly downsized after they became empty nesters.

They still own the one I lived in from age 1-16, but we moved (a few miles away) when I was 16. They still live in that house.

Yes. They've lived in that home since I was 2! It's been in our family since the early 1950's.

Yes. Although I wish she would downsize.

Yep! They built it themselves (my dad used to be a contractor) and we moved in just before I turned 3. It's crazy that the house is pushing 30 years old now...yikes!

Not technically.
After my dad died, my brother moved into the house we grew up in and he built my mom a smaller home (she calls it a cottage, but I think it's bigger than a cottage!) that's attached to the "big" house by a deck.
The house we grew up in was built in 1796 and has stayed in the family, so it was great to keep the history going with my brother, and much easier for mom to take care of a one br. house instead of a 3 bed/3bath one.
And she has lots of grandkids there to keep her company

Um...yes and no? We moved a lot, but a few years ago they moved back into one of the places we lived for 2-3 years when I was in late elementary-middle school.
