LO has all these cute summer dresses but I'm always hesitant to send her to daycare wearing them just because. I figure pants/shorts are more comfortable, especially during naptime. But she's already starting to outgrow some dresses that she's never worn!
Do you send your DD's to daycare in dresses?

If they're casual dresses I put capri leggings on underneath. But only sometimes.

The only time DD wears dresses is when we go to church. I've been sending her in shirts/pants because they're more comfortable and she can play/climb without having her dress get in the way.

As long as they are the soft comfy ones, I send her in them. I just make sure to put bloomers on under them.
I don't send her in anything that I don't want ruined by goldfish stains.

I had a lot of opinions on what I would send my kid to day care in, and then he went and it's a different ball game!
I do stuff that I won't mind getting ruined. He comes home with some weird stains and they sleep wearing their shoes, so comfort is key. For a girl, I'd do dresses with leggings.

She's not a toddler yet, but I do dresses all the time and put bloomers or leggings underneath. We have too many cotton dresses not too!

Yup, she refuses to wear anything except dresses! There are lots of comfy dress options.

My LO is only 8 months but we send her to school in polo dresses all the time. They have bloomers and they are short enough that she can still crawl.

I don't have a daycare, but putting my very active and messy toddler in dresses is kind of an issue for me. I love them - but I don't want her to be held back from exploring and climbing because of it. So I only buy soft dresses and make sure to put bloomers on - nothing fancy or binding or too long. And never any fancy shoes.

we have daycare clothes. daycare prefers that we send olive in pants because they go to the playground everyday, and she steps on dresses when she climbs. they also get wet almost every day because the fountains are on at the park, so they change her into a dress when they get back to daycare.
so we send in pants/shirt, and she usually comes home in a dress!

Not that much anymore...she wears a lot of rompers and shorts. She wore a lot of dresses as an immobile infant!

We had a dress hiatus while LO was crawling because they would easily get tangled or in the way, but once she started walking, we went back to them. She wears them 2 or 3x a week in the summer -- they don't seem to slow her down at all.
They are all casual cotton dresses though, mostly ones from Old Navy or Carters, that are pretty simple: not a lot of extra fabric, no ruffles or bows.

@KayKay: I agree, no dresses when crawling and no frilly dresses. Just basic cotton dresses! Its Florida, so if they do go outside, she gets really hot even in leggings.

Now that she is walking, yes. I send her in dresses a lot. They are comfortable, cotton dresses, though.

She goes to a nanny share, but I rarely send her in dresses. It's easier for her to play and move around in leggings and a tunic or top. She goes to the playground a lot and plays on the floor and the dresses get caught up and trip her sometimes.

LO. Doesn't go to daycare, but she wears dresses all the time. I put bloomers underneath.. They don't seem to hinder her play

Not often, though I know our daycare lady LOVES when she is dressed up pretty!
