Just wondering for those who had a vaginal birth, did you have to go to doctor very often afterwards to get checked on your healing progress? How did this go, I'm kinda nervous about this. I dont know I'm more scared of cervical checks and post baby checks than I am of the actual birth itself!

I only went 6 weeks after. If there's no big issue, you shouldn't have to go.

You go 6 weeks after to get checked and then you resume your normal exams ... assuming everything has healed up fine.

I went 6 weeks after & he basically just checked & told me I could do some massage around the area that bruised during delivery. It didn't hurt at all for me & it was less invasive then the checks they do the las 2-4 weeks before your LO arrives. Then I was told that my next normal pap would be 1 year from then, unless of course I was pregnant before that

I only went for my 6 week appt.
I was just told nothing goes in the vagina for those first 6 weeks and that was my guidance until that one appt lol
It was good advice though

it sounds like most folks had a 6 week, but my OB does a 2 week follow-up to make sure everything is healing well then I go again in 3 mos for my regular check up
