I'm taking DD to the doctor today to get her 2 month vaccines and I'm dreading it... It kills me to hear her cry in pain and I know I'm going to cry if she does - LOL.

olive cried and charlie cried. charlie is a lot tougher though. i was pretty chill about it all.

I won't lie, I teared up. But it goes so quickly, and then you get to pick them up and comfort them. My LO only cries for a few seconds. And it's always after the shots are already done with.

LO cried only when they stuck her with the needles. She she was good afterwards! It's always tough watching your LO in pain.

@BabyBoecksMom: Ask them if you can have the room for a few minutes to nurse right after the vaccines. Cam cried, but stopped as soon as he nursed. Other than being a little cranky, was fine for the rest of the day.

@lemondrop: Thanks for the tip - that seemed to help her out. She's cranky right now, but she has been for the past couple of days, so I can't tell if it's from the shots or just her.

I've had friends report back that some docs will let you nurse while they administer the shots.
I had to help hold my son down, so no, I didn't cry, I was too wrapped up in trying to keep him still.

No, I don't cry. I worry more about them giving my LO the wrong shot or something so I try to pay attention to that instead.

I cried just for the first ones only because *I* am afraid of needles. But it wasn't so bad...I don't cry anymore (for LO - I still get teary-eyed when I have to get blood taken or something).
