Sleep suits only for me. I'm all about functionality though!

It's all about what you want. I was gifted a lot of 0-3 outfits, so she only wore the one-peices at night. For NB size I only had the one pieces and I got bored with them, so I liked that there was variety in the 0-3 month stuff. I'd skip the jeans - they can be hard to get on. Socks depend on if it's cold where you are. I only started using shoes when she started pulling up.

I think maybe 2 or so would be nice for special occasions like meeting relatives or going out but that's it.

Xander lived in primarily sleepers, sleep 'n plays, and rompers for the first 12 months! Anything else was just a pain.

We went crazy. But then again she has church every sunday (needs a dress) and had tons of weddings, graduations and parties to attend while she was 0-3 months.

It depends on how much you think you'll be going out. My LO was born in the middle of winter so we didn't really go out and about much until she was a couple months old. We mainly used sleep 'n plays and felt guilty about how little she wore the outfits we were given (some of them just once for photos to send the giver and then she grew out of them). We didn't start putting her in real outfits on a regular basis until she started daycare at 3 months.

Sleepers only for newborn size. 0-3 he had real clothes but lots were one pieces. Those are my fave.

A pretty much lived in sleepers and pajamas during that time. I think pajamas are appropriate for pretty much any event at that age.

Mostly sleepers, onesies and cotton pants. And just socks, no shoes. I started with soft sole shoes/boots in the winter and we were going out, about 8 months.

I had a few cute outfits that were given to us but at that young age they were a pain.

I hardly ever put either boy in outfits. Lots of sleepers or onsies, depending on weather. Sometimes onesies with footed pants. Very rarely sock at that age and not once shoes.

My kid mostly wore a diaper. It was summer

He wore sleepers 99% of the time until about 5 months. It wAs winter. I hate seeing tiny kids in stiff jeans!

We dressed her during the day. I don't wear pjs all day so why should she? But they were comfy, easy diaper changing outfits.

We had exactly 1 outfit for the 0-3 mo size. It was enough! She mostly wore sleep and plays for the first 8 weeks. We only very occasionally dressed her in her "real clothes" because she always had blowout accidents.

Onesies and sleepers. Maybe an outfit or 2 for a special occasion. But a newborn will probably puke on it as soon as you put it on, so you'll end up with a sleep and play anyway

We use mainly onesies and vests at home (it's hot during the day!). We rotate about six cute outfits and the nicer onesies because we go out frequently. He has a ton of socks because most places we go have AC. For the first six weeks we didn't do much knocking about but after that I found he really did need a variety of clothes. He's 13 weeks now.

I only bought onesies and sleepers for 0-3 months. I did buy one dress for LO to wear to a wedding coming up, mostly just for family photos.

I use sleep and plays as pjs. During the day, I put them in actual outfits (easy and nothing fancy). I wouldn't buy tons, but both my boys were only in that size for about a month or so. I had a couple of nicer outfits for parties or visiting grandparents.

We are the odd ones out but my lo was an early spring baby and never ever wore sleep and plays. We put him in onesies and cotton pants with feet during the day (we took the pants off for naps) and he slept at night in a long sleeved onesie and a swaddle (usually a swaddle pod that zipped with a second swaddle blanket on the outside). He slept a lot in the early days and the sleep and plays were just too hot under the swaddles.

I didn't register for outfits just b/c I think they are annoying in the beginning haha! I think she will live in sleepers & footed onsies for a while!
